101. That's how I feel about all the friends I used to RP Marauder's Era with. I never talk to them anymore. =(

104. The adorable secrets are the only reason I haven't taken this comm off my watch list yet.

111. Fuck yeah Kyouya is awesome. ♥♥♥

119. Still not as bad as Hetalia was.

129. I know what you mean. :/

144. Me too. ^.^ Although, I can see why some people hated it, but it totally wasn't that bad. The Master's reaction even made it seem really awesome, imo.

149. But...it's a carpet? xD

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
116. Thinking of Excalibur mocking and annoying all the dumb people one meets IRL is a wonderful coping mechanism. One I will now steal like lightning.

117. You know, I could use a guilty pleasure or two, and a series about kung-fu emokid chefs just sounds like it could fill that hole. When's it gonna start airing?

125. Is that Hugh Laurie?

136. Angry bald lady and Obi-Wan. Heresy as it may be, I may just read such fic. Curse my attraction to the angry and destructive ones.

137. Jedi's and Shinigami... I. I think I would read that fic. If only because it would make Jedi's try to explain, or even just comprehend the mere EXISTENCE of Kenpachi.

147. Explanation. Context. Please, for the love of anything, I crave understanding of this zany secret.

156. You know, one day these secrets are gonna make those who rea just stop having sex with other nerds out of fear that the only reason their partner's getting off is that they are secretly fantasizing that you are either a man you're not, a woman you're not, or in some cases an alien that you're not with equipment that you most definitely do not have.

n!s 2. I want this secret explained so damn bad, just because it's so odd.

n!f 2. I see this is the evening of deep philosophical inquiry into the nature of existence. If technophile does not exist, does fandomsecrets not exist either? Are we all just deluding ourselves that it and technophile does, and if we do... what does that really say about our collective minds? Or mine, since I may as well be imagining all of this up. Man, I have issues if I can come up with something like this.

There are a lot of memory tricks that people use when they start to learn music theory. One of them is remembering which line in the treble clef means which note. The order of this is EGBDF, (while the spaces spell out FACE). So sometimes we're taught catchy sentences by our teachers, with the words starting with the letters of the notes.

The one I was taught went Every Good Boy Does Fine. The secret poster wanted to share their own memory sentence, apparently.

108. Oh, agreed so bad. It was never something I really even noticed until recently, but every now and then it really shows through that I grew up watching that show religiously, haha ♥ (I still do, really. Eternal reruns ftw!)

(Anonymous) 2009-03-29 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
The reruns save my life some days! I only have seasons 1-3 on DVD so far D:

119. I could make some Hetalia secrets, if you like. 8)

143. It used to be worse than this: I've heard stories of non-mods having to post on behalf of mods because they were all getting topped by RL.

139

[identity profile] brokenbacktango.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
139. It's as if I wrote this secret. Yay for crazy eye!kinks! You are definitely not alone, OP.

[identity profile] dwinghy.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
For a while now I've been wondering why no one bitches about the number of Supernatural secrets that are here on a daily basis. It's way more persistent than Hetalia. My theory is most of the secrets are so tl;dr anyone who's not all ready in the fandom just scrolls past them without noticing.

Re: 119

[identity profile] matitablu.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, yes, count me among one who those who just scroll down. I'm not into Hetalia either, but at least I liked the cute anime designs :3

103: That is five different flavors of awesome!

144: I thought it was a rather clunky deus ex machina (literally, even!), but I didn't hate it, and I thought it was pretty much in character for Ten, since he's been playing out the "lonely god" archetype. It also adds fuel to my argument that, after the destruction of the Time Lords, he's been more or less creating heroes in his wake to replace them, since he only becomes Tinkerbell!Jesus!Doctor because Martha has spent the last year being his prophetess, and Jack spends that whole year dying and coming back.

too big!5

[identity profile] teostra.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Wat. The whole point was that they were living there rent free, then suddenly were expected to pay back-rent unless they helped stop the protest. Less a matter of paying rent then it was dealing with a douche bag move.

Re: too big!5

[identity profile] xenafox.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactlyyyyy~ Isn't that secret a repeat anyway?

[identity profile] mailcalltime.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
127. Wanting to make friends with someone isn't creepy, it's a natural thing. I understand the feeling but you need to muster up your courage and talk to this person. I'm sure they'll accept you.

The picture wants me to think that you're in SBG. If you are, you should really stop by our chat room. You'll find that everyone there is really nice and should help alleviate your shyness.

127 OP

(Anonymous) 2009-03-29 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Helenaaaaaa hello, yeppity I am a member of SBG and ahahaaaa I'm too scared to talk to anyone on SBG about it because I'm afraid of being labeled as creepy over it and ablabla. I'm glad you don't see it as a bad thing, though.

I just dunno how to work up the courage to do it or what to do though. I'm terrible at this whole 'friends' thing offline or on derp 8U;

If you wanna continue the conversation, lemme know and I'll IM ya since I... think I remember your AIM doop doop

[identity profile] ugerchucker.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Omg, so did I! They do look a lot alike.

Re: 110

[identity profile] noforcenosound.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
They definitely do. I thought Robert Downey, Jr. was the Comedian for AGES, and I've always thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan was Jim Barris in A Scanner, Darkly until right now when I checked.

[identity profile] trillianastra.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
107. Are you me? Srsly, I feel exactly the same. I mean, you put all that effort into hating Paris Hilton, then *wham* and suddenly you find she actually has *talent*. It was most unsettling, but I'm used to it now.

154. Ummm, hate to break it to you, but Tin Man was really more of a standalone miniseries. A second season is highly unlikely (unfortunately). Realistically though, where would it go? It's a reimagining of the Wizard of Oz, and they pretty much covered that already.
ext_10637: (tin man - big damn heroes)

154

[identity profile] kseda.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
One of ideas fandom batted around was that if there's a sequel they might adapt one of the original Baum books that came after TWoO, which might be awesome. Still, doubt it'll happen but we can dream.

126. i agree, please no

128: whenever i see a weird secret about jared i automatically assume it was made by jensen

141. i miss bad ass dean too but i feel for dean's predicament and can understand why he's upset a lot of the time. i just want him to get better :(

Me too! I like and maybe even admire him a little (not the smelly hobo neo-con bits, but the absolute certainty he displays in his beliefs) but I don't think he's hot and I would not hit it. Sit around discussing sewing and drinking sugar-saturated tea with, maybe.

134 OP

(Anonymous) 2009-03-30 12:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Never compromise :) Even if you don't agree with specific beliefs, it's still an admirable philosophy.

screw you captcha, I'm logged in

(Anonymous) 2009-03-29 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
not!fandom 1: Screw you :) I love shipping, reading smut, and I'll easily call girls/guys hot--because there isn't yet a single word that easily conveys 'I kind of want to brush their hair and feed them grapes while addressing poetry to them'. Yet as soon as it starts relating to me, I lose any and all interest. So yes, I consider myself asexual.
Shades of grey, bb. Your form of asexuality != the only one.

please note: your friend could very well just be using it as an excuse. I'm not really defending her, just venting.

Re: screw you captcha, I'm logged in

[identity profile] riviyan-questa.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! I would actually start saying "I want to brush their hair and feed them grapes while addressing poetry to them." but I don't have interest in romantic relationships, so I don't want to do those things. But you totally should, on account of awesome-osity.

I, too, am an asexual who loves shipping and reading smut (of the fanfiction and romance novel variety). Just because I have no interest in sex for me, doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading about the relationships of those who do. I don't generally read PWP, but stories which have sex as well as a plot I do read. Then, the sex is not just sex, but there is that emotional part as well. I may not have a sex drive, but I do have emotions.

132, 147

[identity profile] sparky-ld.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
132. That sort of crap is really freaking rude. Critting a story for not making a ship/plot/AU work is one thing: whining because it's not about your favoured ship/genre/AU scenario is quite another thing. I think the reviewers that give you good reviews would probably understand and agree with calling those morons out.

147. ...I don't know if I should be impressed or terrified. D: But I will encourage OP to do it if it's what OP wants to do. :3

123. I KNOW. It only showed him being attacked though, so I'm holding out hope that he was able to fight it off. He never spoke, or took any action the player didn't make him take, but I found him to be one of the most sympathetic game characters I've seen in a while. The fact that I maybe developed a small crush on him probably helped...
