In the past: all the livejournal ones for my fandoms. Fictionalley and Portkey. Several Star Wars ones I can't recall the names of.

Now: Tumblr mainly, specifically the Tolkien/Silmarillion fandom areas of Tumblr. And then Flight Rising, not sure if that counts as fandom though.

Both CAPSLOCK-ATLA and a FMA RP forum were my first online fandom spaces and I miss them.

ONTD_StarTrek was definitely the big one. I still have a video of a bunch of the old memes set to Andrew WK on one of my iPods and bring it up now and then to laugh.

Also way back in the day, I had so much fun with RPGamer's message boards (despite then being recruited for a different competing site, lol), particularly Final Fantasy and Pokemon, and am still in touch with a ton of people I met there.

...Also does the Phoenix Wright Kink Meme count?

I'll always have a soft spot for the livejournal X-Files Book Club community. Every fandom I've been in since, I've found myself pining for a similar community where I could go to talk about various fics and see what other people had said/were saying about them. It would probably get messy, though. XF was pretty old school, so nobody really questioned the validity of people publicly discussing their honest thoughts and opinions about various fics--even when those opinions were negative. I doubt that would still be the case.

Also, shoutout to Gossamer, which was a truly incredible fanfic archive for its time. I wouldn't call it a community, because it functioned purely as an archive, but as basically the central pillar of X-Files fandom (along with it's sister site Ephemeral) from the mid 90's onward, it will always have my love and appreciation.

the watcher's diary at buffyguide was a colossal part of my life, and aspects of it still are even though it basically shut down 13 years ago

Quite a few AOL message boards, but especially the X-Files ones. The "Welcome" board and the "Shipper" board specifically. I still remember how much we teased the poor mod of the Welcome board (Cal!) on the subject of bad language, because he had so specifically said that "ass" and "bitch" were both fine, but nothing else. Thus, the word "assbitch" was coined.

Age gap

Would you rather marry someone much older or much younger?
How much older, or how much younger, would be your limit?

In my family, my dad married my mom who was 22 years younger.
My grandmother married my grandfather who was around 10 years younger (I don't know his exact year of birth). They ended up getting divorced.
My great-great-grandfather apparently had my great-grandmother when he was like 80, but I don't know how old my great-great-grandmother was.

I don't think I'd want to be with someone much older. I'm probably too old for someone my own age. I'd worry that someone younger would just leave me for someone their own age. So...I don't know, for myself.
