Nothing but awfulness. :( I lost my job because of the pandemic and haven't been able to find another one yet. I've had interviews that I thought went really well, only for nothing to come of them, I've been contacted by companies claiming to want to do an interview, who then never responded again with a date/time, there are countless places I've applied and heard nothing back, there are places where I've applied and heard nothing for a long time before getting a "sorry, but we've hired someone else" email.

Nothing is working, yet all I'm getting from family is "stop being lazy and just get a job" like it's so easy. When I tell them that I'M TRYING, I'm just told that I'm not trying hard enough. Everyone is acting like I'm this completely worthless person because I don't have a job and I just feel awful about myself.

On top of all that, I'm getting guilted about not having a relationship with an abusive relative and told how it's so sad that "we don't get along" and it's ruined the family when it's not that "we don't get along" it's that HE'S AN ABUSIVE DICKHEAD and no one wants to acknowledge it.

Unfortunately I've had to borrow money because of the job situation, but at this point I feel like as soon as I get a job I'm going to pay them back and then never speak to any of them again. I don't need any of this crap.

Ugh, nonny, I'm so sorry about all of that. Job searches are truly BRUTAL, and there are so many people who just don't fucking understand that you can be looking for a job and not find one and it isn't because you're lazy. It's so exhausting and so draining and it all just completely sucks, every part of it. And having to deal with family being assholes about abusive relatives on top of that? Just so, so shitty and unfair.
