Feeling stupid because I let myself feel jealous of my friends recently. I've worked hard and been lucky and that's meant I'm in a pretty stable position in life atm and I'm proud of that. But I have several friends who are a few magnitudes wealthier than my family ever was and sometimes hanging out with them makes me feel bad for not having what they have, and with the way the economy is going probably never being able to in my working career.

Which is all very stupid and privileged and self-involved. I know that, I just haven't been able to work out how to hang out with my friends without that button being pushed.
