If it was just him blowing up his personal life that would be one thing, but he had an affair with a subordinate which is a massive can of worms in the best circumstances and this action is going to cost the friends he started a business with a shit-ton of money. Sure they'll come back from it, but that doesn't negate the damage that's he done and I don't think this would have been as bad if he hadn't made his entire brand 'his wife', but he did so now he has to live with the consequences of fucking that up.

This was financial and emotional strife caused to his family and friends, he absolutely deserve to suffer for that.

SHE doesn't deserve that. If the woman he cheated with says she felt coerced, or disputes that it was wholly consensual, then sure, I'll write him off as pure trash. But until there's an accusation that it was something worse than just a very ill-advised affair, the worst I'm going to say about this guy is that he's a selfish dumbass, a bad husband, and a liability as a colleague. But not a monster or a predator or human trash or whatever. Just...kind of sucky.

It’s why what he did is a firing offence for any and every even halfway decent company. And it’s the kind of thing that in most career fields will end you. I actually have! It fucking sucked, lol. It didn't get nearly as public, but I was definitely scorned enough in the aftermath that when it got out to our circle of friends and they absolutely raked him across the coals, it felt great. I can only imagine I would have been gleeful had it spread out beyond and total strangers were ripping his head off over it, lol.

But then, I am admittedly a bit petty. I'm not saying for sure she is too, maybe she's mortified, but my point was that we can't have any way of knowing, and my theory's as good as yours.

I mean, he's a guy who made money off his "I love my wife" public persona, so any shit directed at him in public is entirely earned. If people are following his wife around and asking for her input, that's not okay (not that I've seen it, but I'm not that deep in the fandom).
