How was your weekend?

Well, I chose dog I'll be adopting. But, I can't officially adopt him until he is neutered, microchipped, and his last round of vaccines at the end of the month. So, I've only got the one picture of him. :( https://i.imgur.com/O2DBgMv.jpg

His current name is Buckley. I'll either be naming him Bucky (suggested by my sister so not Captain America inspired) OR training him to have the new name of Jamb (short for Door Jamb).

Aww, he looks precious! Bucky suits him but I'm also a big fan of the off-the-wallness of Door Jamb as a name.

My weekend has been fine! I socialized more than I expected, which means I laid around and rested less than I expected, but that's just the tradeoffs of life for you.

Got through a major downpour today - genuinely started wondering if we were going to get flooded out, but thankfully the rain stopped halfway through the day.

Also trying to think up what to get people for Christmas now so I don't have to worry about it in December.

weekend was spent catching up on sleep and trying new antidepressants. so far they're making it easier to sleep and keep a clear head

Adorable dog! My weekend was OK. Got a bit of fanfic writing done and kept watching my Kdrama. (My Love from the Star - it's cheesy but in a good way.)

Puppy! So cute :D

My weekend (as previously mentioned) was YOUMACON. Overall not the best con experience and kind of a disappointment, but some good things happened and those good things were AWESOME AND HILARIOUS, so I'm glad I went. As long as I don't wind up with covid sometime this week.

Also when I got home any lingering disappointment was largely eradicated by my cat following me around burbling as I unloaded the car, and then a bunny following me around binkying in joy as I unpacked some of it (since he can't burble).

It was better than last weekend starting with the fact that my husband no longer has COVID. So we were able to clean the drain we adopted (so many damn leaves!); go to an open studio event in town; and stock up on beer/cider.

Pretty good! I helped my sister and brother in law moving into their new house yesterday and today I managed to secure an interview for tomorrow!

Lookit that good boi! That little face! So happy for you; getting a new pet is the most exciting thing. He looks like a Bucky to me, too.

My weekend was mostly burnout from work and university, I think I ceased to function at some point on Saturday evening. (Windows shutdown noise) It'll be my first Christmas at this job too and I'm bracing because everyone says it gets absolutely hectic.

Nice and relaxing. I'm already halfway through season 2 of DS9. And my kitty has kept me company for a good chunk of the weekend. So just about perfect.

I'm in a total Stucky brainrot mood atm so I think Bucky sounds like an excellent name for that absolute sweetheart of a pup ♡♡♡

Weekend was mostly baby wrangling, but got to see some friends and clean the house so there was definitely a sense of accomplishment by Sunday evening. Also tried the new fried chicken place near us - it was excellent!

My weekend was pretty nice actually. But I have this thing now that I am verging on panic attacks after having a good time. But no matter I guess, it's better to have this lows after having a good time instead of having no fun at all.

Early Christmas People :I

I still have my facebook because its the one social media that I only use for people I know IRL so I check it for messages and occasional scrolls - and there's been at least 3 people showing off that they've put up their decorations already.

Its too soon for me, but if that's what brings them joy in these trying times than so be it \o/
I was curious if anyone else knows someone like this - or is someone who got their decorations up on the 1st November?

I'm usually the type to wait after Thanksgiving, but the last few years have been weird shit, so it just varies now. It's the 6th and I don't have anything up yet. There's a good chance I'll break into the Celtic Christmas tunes by mid-month though. (Well. Maybe. Might depend on various things, including my mood.)

My Xmas stuff usually goes up around 1 December, but as I only have about five things (including some form of small tree), it's not much of an effort.

Me me meeeee! I love the lights and the tinsel and the garlands and how it makes everything so pretty.

I do try to keep my glee for the holiday decor (it's really more about the decor than Christmas itself for me) on the downlow outside of my home until Dec 1 though. Some people get really mean about decorating early and that's never fun.
