The Company of Wolves

Those are the main two I can think of. I liked Elizabeth Harvest (which is a take on Bluebeard), but wouldn't call it a favourite.

Listen, I know Ayn Rand's philosophy is a garbage fire. And that for all it was already a garbage fire from the start, the people who have latched onto it have added their own toxic flammables to said garbage fire and made it ten times worse than it already was. I know. I am aware. Corporate capitalism is a toxic, suffocating, inescapable scourge.

But if my name were Dagny Taggart, that would be fucking dope. I mean, except for the part where everyone would assume I was a Randian, Objectivist, fiscal Conservative dipshit. That part would be less dope.

I just like the name, is what I'm saying.

I actually did name myself after a fictional character, but only a few people know who and why, and I'm not going to expose myself here. But if I had to do it again, I...have had this tab open for half an hour struggling to think of something. I want to say Carrie Fisher, but she's not fictional, and if I named myself Leia I bet it would often get spelled or pronounced wrong, which is part of what I changed my name in the first place to get away from. Mhrggh.

Massive migraine hit. I was having aura symptoms for at least a day and somehow missed it and didn't get my early med taken in time. So now it is super bad and may last for days. I need this to be gone tomorrow because I only have 1 vacation day left for the year and no sick days. Argh.

I prompted the secret about how I fear the MCU will wreck Namor.

SPOILERS

Namor's great in the movie. He tears shit up, he's so sincere, he's trying his best to do his worst. I love him. If the comics take a page from this film I don't think it'll wreck him too much.

The fandom is a *disaster* of shipping and anti-shipping and anything said in praise of him is taken as hate for Shuri and even the comic based folks I follower are getting into it. AHHH! Maybe it'll die down soon with Antman and GOTG but also the movie is really good so they might stick around.

Can't decide if I am being paranoid

I know a person in my friend group who raises too much red flags for me. They are not openly bigoted, but a lot of small things are starting to snowball. Like I am pretty sure I heard them misgendering person we know, or openly being scornful towards slash pairing. I know, that shipping isn't activism but it was fishy.
And so on.
I am being really careful because I am from the country that is extremely -phobic towards, well, everything and I can't judge too harshly. Also I can't always start discourse because it isn't safe thing to do. But I think stopping endorsing bigotry in a friend group is on me.
