Re: TMI. People with vaginas! Menopause question!

It's definitely a YMMV issue. I'm 55, had a hysterectomy about...25 years ago? and very like post-menopause (hard to tell when you don't know when your periods would have stopped), and I guess - I've never been like...super 'wet' (it was a bit of an issue when I had penetrative sex all my life), so I don't notice anything. Certainly no discomfort. But again - YMMV and it could be a real, bad issue for some.

(Never had an issue with discharge, either, so....*shrugs*)

Did you have both ovaries removed as well? If you have even just one ovary left, you can still cycle, though you won't bleed.

Nope, just the uterus, kept both ovaries so i wouldn't have to deal with hormone issues.
Best thing ever! :D

Then you may or may not still have a cycle. I was told when I had my hysterectomy and they left in one ovary that I might go through menopause right away or I might still cycle for a while. I do still cycle, though it isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be.

I wouldn't know. I do know i get tons of hot flashes and night sweats, so - probably not.
