Re: Summer Camp AUs

I never got to go to summer camp (we were poor), but I can understand the appeal and why summer camp AUs are popular. I'd say its because that setting provides a lot of opportunities for a lot of plot bunnies/points like meet-cutes, roommate or bunkmate situations, counselors who buddy around with each other, shenanigans that ensue when campers get together, etc. There are camps devoted to specific activities like swimming or horse riding, there are cooking camps and there are chess and literature camps too, so anything the author might be interested in could be worked into a story featuring a summer camp.
