Oooo that's creepy. Thanks for explaining. I have the DVDs for all three seasons and I'm wondering if I'll draw the same conclusion. I haven't watched them yet, but this show looked like it would be right up my alley (production values alone and how to destroy angels music in the trailers).

It's a gorgeous show. Be prepared for a tonal flip around episode 7 or 8 in season 1. It was originally going to be a procedural horror, but Mads Mikkelson came in like, I'm gonna play Hannibal as falling in love at first sight. And then Bryan rushed to rewrite just about everything while they were filming. So the rest of the show is more Gothic Romance. (Capital "R" Romance, not bodice-ripper-romance.)

My best friend actually just started watching it after years of me talking about it. She made the frankly horrible decision to binge it and had to take a break after season 2 because it is A Lot. Make sure to watch the after credits scene on the finale.

Kim Possible headcanon:
- Monique thinks of Kim as her sidekick who goes on crazy adventures. Kim is to Monique as Chelsea is to Raven.

- Monique and Ron secretly dated briefly in Season one, but broke up after realizing a love of professional wrestling and mutual fondness for K.P. was all they had in common.
To this day, Kim has no clue.

- After graduation, Monique goes to the Fashion Institute of Technology.
While studying at FIT, she interns with Donna Cabonna, and occasionally gets swept up in Kim's missions. Eventually, works with Wade and Global Justice, acting as their Q/Edna Mode.

That does sound like a terrible fate. But also, an interesting premise on it’s own that has way more potential than to be wasted on just one waifu in a harem story imo.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to have any favorite books about any of these places? I have measured my current knowledge of African history (fuck all, obviously) and am endeavoring to correct this, and I always love book recs. :)

My mother was like this about Trump. I still feel hurt over some of her comments and reactions to things during the 2016 election, and things since. She's the same as your sister regarding religion and all.

Compare. Medicine will try to get you the goods where information on unwanted pregnancies and STDs are concerned. It will even contribute useful information like "rate of failure of various birth control methods, used separately and together." If sex toys can routinely lead to people being hospitalized to have the damn things extricated from their body, because something happened and they can't get it out themselves, I've never seen that publicized by doctors or hospitals, and I don't think that's common knowledge.

I've run into advice from sex educators about how to clean them and how much "safer" they supposedly are (no risk of pregnancy! No disease transmission if you don't share toys!) and this is the first I'm seeing about "but yeah, you could puncture the vaginal wall or the lower intestine or just plain lose it up someone's ass in a way that a doctor needs to assist with getting it out." It's not the same thing as "see a collection of ill-advised things horny people (I hope) tried to fuck each other with," because that's expressly what you're supposed to be able to do with these objects. Without being injured by them.
