Not a habit really, but when I was young I got a collectors card of one of my favorite characters and it had their height/weight on the back and I just decided that was my ultimate goal for height and weight. Sadly stopped growing before I made the height, and the only way I made the weight was an eating disorder. Recovered and now I am way over that weight and occasionally I think about that character stats and get a little sad. Which is just so silly.

Probably. My personality is just a collection of quirks, sayings, and mindsets of people I've thought were cool.

I'm sure there are, just because that is... how my whole thing works? I definitely pick up posture stuff from characters I'm into.

But the only one I can think of is that sometimes I scratch my face the WAY that a character I used to be obsessed with does, and I don't think I picked that up from him, because... I scratch my face whenever it itches, a thing it has done since long before he was my blorbo. But now I NOTICE whenever I do it.

Braiding my hair like Edward Elric. I didn't start braiding it /because/ of him, but seeing literally a couple of frames of him braiding his own hair helped me figure out how to do it for the first time.

Absolutely. I made a secret many years ago about how The Nanny influenced me growing up. I've been told that people admire my confidence and outgoing personality but in truth my public persona (even with friends) is basically just a toned-down version of Fran Fine to hide my social anxiety and self-esteem issues.

Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am trying to beat BOTW. I've got two divine beasts down so I am hoping to beat another this weekend. I also want to work on getting some OW competitive done. Other than that, working on all of my crochet projects.

Not much. Hoping the weather clears and I can go for a hike at some point. Other than that, just boring adult chores like laundry and meal prep.

What crochet projects do you have going? I'm always so interested (and envious) of people who crochet and knit.

Tomorrow getting my Ipod repaired. Sunday I've agreed to be part of this focus group on racism in Texas. Monday I've got my grief counselor and a Juneteenth event.

Hoping to throw in a LOTR rewatch somewhere in there.

On Sunday I had a BBQ at my sister's new home! She moved near the mountain so I hope I'll get to walk around in nature a little bit.
Aside from that, I have to organize a trip I don't really want to make (it's for a wedding UGH) and maybe practise watercolour paiting.

I thought the party was coming to my house but it's relocated somewhere else and so the rest of the household's going to it and I won't be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I will be fighting off anxiety due to health problems and watching the rest of Black Mirror S6.

Mines been pretty shitty, but looking forward to some plans with a friend tomorrow and a Pride Fest farmers market type thing on Sunday.

I'm extremely tired today, but I managed to do something that I was procrastinating since March! It was really stressing me out, but I really couldn't deal with it. I'm not 100% done because there was a small problem (of course), but the most is done.

Looking forward to sleeping a lot tomorrow and wake up refreshed.

Busy and hot. I had to take a client to USCIS this morning. The weather is in the high 90s with a heat index of 109. I felt sick from the heat by the time I actually got to the office. Right now I'm laying in bed, naked, with an ice pack on my head.

A little thing that made you happy

I just discovered my local library's website lets me create lists and save books to it. So now whenever I find a book that piques my interest I can just log in and add it to the list, so in the future I can go back and check it out! I keep lists other places, but it being attached tot he library so I can see if it's available or put a hold on it makes it so much better.

Also just found a rec list of a whole bunch of books that seem right up my alley, so excited about that too.
