HA, yes.
I don't really like age-regression, but have kind of stumbled into a couple fics with it, and this was a part of why it just...didn't work for me (that and it's...age regression....)

Younger(ish) fan, and I hate this trend. Memes can be funny but random people on the internet are not your friends and you shouldn't be throwing it at them. Hell, I hate that it's so normalized to throw it outside of "memeing" too, it feels like internet fandom culture has become very apathetic in social media.

This was just some random stuff I found on Tumblr.

Going through the tag again, I think this https://www.tumblr.com/please1mistress/710818145072529408/is-it-what-you-want-to-be-blank-is-it-what-you is an example of the problem.

I finally sat down and wrote 2500 words detailing a photography project I'm itching to do (inspired by Robert Trachtenberg's Red Blooded American Male) even though I have little portraiture work and a substantial lack of confidence. At least writing it out means it's not rattling around my head driving me crazy/crazier. Of course I linked to some pictures of YouTubers who have examples of the kind of portraits I want to take, and I only regret it a little bit. Still, I'm excited that I got the idea out of my head, and there's even a little bit of support for the theme of this whole thing.

mid-upper 80s and sunny. Very nice except... it was like this for like a month with no rain. Then it was overcast and sprinkled a little this last weekend. Not nearly enough rain, and now we're right back on this?

...I got to some REALLY INTERESTING cutscenes in FFXIV today, after a battle that I was not expecting and completely unprepared for and was VERY EXCITING AND HAD AN AMAZING SURPRISE TWIST. I have no clue how I actually managed to beat it, so that in itself would've counted. But then soooo many lovely cutscenes after. (One of them actually brought a tear to my eye and I like... don't cry at media. Ever.)

NAYRT - Huh, yeah, this is well articulated, and ITA. (Though like you, I also never told anyone to DIAF, back when that was a thing people said. I think I only ever used to be hyperbolic about something that was annoying me, like, "Gah, this essay I have to write/the ants in my kitchen/liver meat/the garbage truck that makes noise outside my house every single morning needs to DIAF."

Yeah, ageplay in general is very much not my kink, but the stuff where it's like an AU and some people are Littles who just regress spontaneously sometimes squicks me extra hard.

Drought. Wildfire smoke from Canada. Going on 5 weeks with suggestions that it will be like this for months. "The entire summer." In summary: shit.

I'm in Vancouver and it's cold and drab. Where is the summer at? Can it hurry up and get here, please? I feel incredibly teased, because we had a short heatwave like two months ago that had me primed for a glorious summer, but since then it's been mostly sucky.

The only one of those I've played is Gris (although I have Spiritfarer and plan to play it after I finally finish Breath of the Wild), but I highly recommend it! It's a beautiful and emotional journey of a game and I really, really loved it.

oh my gosh and the baby talk is so BAD, it's ALWAYS written by people who have no idea what actual children talk like, like they just randomly drop letters out of words without any thought to what sounds a small child's mouth is likely to have trouble with??

I'm ALWAYS looking for like... I guess honestly what I *really* want isn't even age regression, so much as re-parenting? Where it's not a sex thing but it's also not 'I'm mentally two years old', so much as 'I had a traumatic lack of a healthy childhood and now I am allowed to safely experience the things I didn't have, and the person/people I love understand this need and may help me heal by offering caretaking/affection/play, or at least understand when I'm having the kind of day where I need a juice box and a coloring book', but no one writes that. So, I read age regression for some characters, but sometimes it's just BAD.

(and dammit, if you can't write a realistic two year old, then DO NOT MAKE your character totally mentally regress to the age of two!)
