Arueshalae in Wrath of the Righteous is a typical example of the type. And let’s face it, the reason they get redeemed is because they’re hot girls. The big ugly demons are just evil and you kill them. I want some equality!

I appreciate where you're coming from but I have never been to tvtropes in my life and I'm not starting now.

I just needed context for your secret and even with some (I also don't D&D, oops) I'm even more confused. oh well. some people got where you were going! just not this anon, sorry.

What's the big deal about going to TV Tropes? It's just text that explains some stuff.....

... that's a weird hill to die on. Do you ignore Wikipedia because it has biases too?

DA

I read the TV Tropes article because I also wanted to know, so maybe you'd be okay with a main-point summary? They're asserting that "aromantic, professionally hypersexual character discovers emotional intimacy and becomes very attached to someone" is a popular growth arc for a demon.

OP is pointing out that it's overwhelmingly attractive *women* who get their emotional defenses torn down like this in fiction. I'm inclined to agree completely.

Now I'm also curious why you avoid TVTropes.
