I appreciate where you're coming from but I have never been to tvtropes in my life and I'm not starting now.

I just needed context for your secret and even with some (I also don't D&D, oops) I'm even more confused. oh well. some people got where you were going! just not this anon, sorry.

I read the TV Tropes article because I also wanted to know, so maybe you'd be okay with a main-point summary? They're asserting that "aromantic, professionally hypersexual character discovers emotional intimacy and becomes very attached to someone" is a popular growth arc for a demon.

OP is pointing out that it's overwhelmingly attractive *women* who get their emotional defenses torn down like this in fiction. I'm inclined to agree completely.
