They're asserting that "aromantic, professionally hypersexual character discovers emotional intimacy and becomes very attached to someone" is a popular growth arc for a demon.
OP is pointing out that it's overwhelmingly attractive *women* who get their emotional defenses torn down like this in fiction. I'm inclined to agree completely.
