Okay, I totally feel you, one THOUSAND percent. This absolutely is how it goes like 99% of the time and it's infuriating.

However.

S1 of GLOW has a main character getting an abortion, and it's handled really well.

S1 of Sex Education has a main character getting an abortion, and it's handled really well.

There's an episode of Bojack Horseman where a main character gets an abortion, and it's handled really well.

And okay, this one is not the scenario you're describing at all, but S1 of Jessica Jones involves a character (recurring, not main) demanding an abortificant pill, and fucking hoovering it like, "Nah, I do not need you to ask me if I'm sure."

I feel like I've seen one or two more, but I can't recall them at the moment.
