I'm keeping an AO3 collection for stories where someone has an abortion and both the abortion and the sex (or other babymaking activity) that resulted in the abortion are consensual and not presented as tragic.

It is very small.

I have submissions open and every single submission so far has been rapefic.

Yeesh. I've got nothing against that as a fic premise - I'm glad fanfics go there while most other things won't! But I can see why you'd be annoyed at the lack of what you're actually trying to find.

I've found stories like what you're saying you want in fanfiction too, but they're few and far between enough that I don't think my chances of being able to remember specific titles and rec you are good. I am wishing you the best with expanding this collection, though.

Fortunately I don't personally have a problem with rapefic, but the point of the collection is that you don't have to be raped to want and deserve an abortion. People just can't read submission guidelines. Or can't look past ground-in cultural narratives I guess.

('I got raped and now I need an abortion', while not exactly a common fic narrative, is about 20x more common than the non-rapey version. I spent a lot of time trawling fic tags.)

AYRT

That does sound frustrating. And because I haven't tracked it like you have, I didn't know. So I appreciate your speaking up about it!
