It has been up and down since around 9am CST. It seems to be up currently. Some people are saying DDOS attack but the evidence is spotty in that regard.

Someone posted a screenshot of some group (Anonymous Sudan?) saying they did it because AO3 is an American company and because it hosts "horrible" smut and LGBTQ+ stuff. But people are second guessing bigots who are also politically correct enough to use LGBTQ+.

Yeah. Wouldn't put it past fuckwits on the right to do something like that and try to pin it on "offended PoC" and screw up the terms. If it really was a DDoS instead of some mundane error, that is. I guess we still don't know.
