(Anonymous) 2023-07-10 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)It's not that I thought the OP meant to call out anyone real, but I looked at the picture and was thinking "oh, that looks neat, I wonder what canon it corresponds to" and then the text was like "can't take it seriously because of their wigs, so yuck!!"
When, like someone already pointed out, wigs are a perfectly sensible way to deal with a plot that calls for white-blond hair on adults. So I'm still wondering what their problem is.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-10 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)They just have SO MANY wigs in House of the Dragon. I don't envy the hair team! But they look okay to me or I guess I just put that aside when I watch it.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-10 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)Oh. It makes more sense if the wigs used to be better and people are comparing them. That's context I didn't have.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-11 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)To compare, apparently Orlando Bloom's Legolas wig in LotR was made of naturally blond nordic human hair, which made it very expensive but also very realistic. I don't know if GoT used non-bleached human hair wigs or if they had some other tricks up their sleeve that HotD doesn't.
