I'd be uncomfortable if those two characters flirted with me, too?

Like. They're the most bisexual duo ever. Nevermind that their entire character arc is basically the prototypical "childhood sweethearts" story but lawyers and the only reason people DON'T see it is they're both men. If one of them was a woman, there'd BE no complaints or denial.

Also like, this art is official: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/aceattorney/images/5/51/Chocolate_Wright.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20230314005440

Edgeworth is literally helping lovingly sculpt Nick's shoulderblades. He's the one with the photo of that right there.

I'm sorry you like Nick with Maya, who is canonically 16 to Nick's 24.

It all makes sense now. The OP is Pearl. She discovered the joys of technology and grew up to be a chronically online teenager.

Maya's 18 to Nick's 24 in the first game.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Could have sworn she was 16 in the first game.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt

1) she was 17 and he was 24. This is stated in Turnabout Samurai.
2) speaking as someone who only sees them as having a sibling dynamic, why do their ages matter? It's fiction, let people ship what they want.

Secret OP brought faux real life logic ("Phoenix isn't GAY") into it so it's legitimate to stick with real life logic ("a 24 year old dating a 17 year old is kinda icky") to argue against them.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
These logics... are both very flawed, actually.

I'm vanilla-shipper as fuck and even I wouldn't object to a 7 year old age gap, but the bisexual erasure ITT is through the roof y'all.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
How is any of this bisexual erasure? Everyone except for OP is pretty adamant that bisexuality is a thing. I don't care about age differences at all but 24 with 17 is illegal in quite a few places so I get people being uncomfortable with it. Especially when OP is so headset on "Phoenix can't be into MEN as well because he's lusting after the little sister of his mentor" when that... isn't the case.

"Phoenix isn't GAY" isn't faux real life logic lol it's bisexual erasure isn't it now

"the only reason people DON'T see it is they're both men. If one of them was a woman, there'd BE no complaints or denial." aaaaand you're not wrong.

It's the same with how people kept insisting Yuri on Ice wasn't gay even after an implied kiss and an engagement/promise ring when there would have been not doubt about it if one of the characters had been female.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Not gonna lie, Yuri on Ice was mild as fuck - if a het romance ended with an *implied* kiss EVERYONE would go "that... was it? So are they fucking or not lol? Is this Gen?" .

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Even you wouldn't be saying the kiss was an "implied" kiss if one of them had been female.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
Wasn't it "implied" simply because nothing was clearly, visibly shown?

Unlike, say, Sasuke and Naruto's multiple kisses

(Anonymous) 2023-07-17 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
Their faces were deliberately not in the shot, that's why it was implied.
