Re: Secrets you don't want to make...
(Anonymous) 2023-07-22 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)IME, women are more likely to have good vaginal orgasms that involve penetration when they have complete control over what goes in, how far, how fast, where it touches inside on each stroke, everything. They benefit from a degree of control over every aspect of sex that makes most men feel very threatened, because it's drastically different from what they've been told their role ought to be. And on top of that, it demands a degree of self-discipline from men that they are not used to needing, let alone having. The extent to which I've seen (a few) women talk about what they want their partner to do with them, in bed, does not approach by miles what would actually make het sex feel fantastic to them. And fanfiction sidesteps the issue by creating a kind of penetrative sex that does not involve vaginas, and works exactly like het sex is supposed to work: as if the penis stimulated just the right spot, over and over, with the penetrating partner controlling the motion.
It's a fantasy. But on this level, of what appeals and why, I think explicit slash in fanfic has little to do with the men involved being gay.
