1. I agree, that is pretty cute. And no, I don't think you're a bad friend. Not only is it cute, but... I don't know. I've always had trouble telling people that they're DOING IT WRONG, especially when it comes to a second language.

5. You know, it seems that a lot of people forget... You're cosplaying a FICTIONAL character. I doubt all of the qualities will match up, and you know what? Who GIVES a damn, so long as the person gives their best? Man, it's supposed to be for *fun*!

7. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. As long as you can dislike heterosexuality without being a 'heterophobe', then I don't see a problem with it.

5. By looking at the comments here, I think I'm the only one who can actually agree to this. Sure, not everyone will be absolutely /perfect/ for who they're trying to cosplay, but some people really should just know what cosplays are good for them and which ones aren't.

What I don't think a lot of the previous commenters are taking into account is that there /are/ other characters people could cosplay. There are heavier characters, black/darkskinned characters, short characters, tall characters, etc. You just never hear about them because so much emphasis is put on the people cosplaying skinny light-skinned characters.

By all means, have fun. It's what cosplay is about. But, at the same time, know that if you aren't the right body type for a character, chances are, you'll end up on cosplayfucks or 4chan.

7.) I can understand not being interested in it (Yuri interests me more than yaoi and het), but why not just ...not care for it? I don't understand being 'grossed' out by it. Either way it's two naked people grunting all over each other during sex, just one person has different bits (or the same).

I know, right? I have friends who like characters I hate, and vice-versa. No one's forced to like what someone else does and I'm not going to base friendships over what characters you like and dislike. We're not always going to agree on everything, but that keeps things interesting.

Final Fantasy character: Paine.
Anime/manga character: Reki (from Haibane Renmei).
Misc. video game character: Naomi Kimishima or whatever her name really is from Trauma Center. Though that's bordering on well-endowed, though the endowment is mostly a result of clothing.

I don't overly agree with the secret poster. But I'm just saying -- there are characters like that. If you're determined enough, you can generally find somebody with at least a similar appearance to you. Not that there's any guarantee you'll like them enough to cosplay them, sadly.
