I think I agree with this secret. TLJ wasn't perfect, but it was doing something I liked. And I think if Johnson had been given the third movie as well, everything would have made more sense and TLJ would have worked better. It has issues, but for me I think most of those issues are as a result of TROS ruining what would have otherwise worked.

Sympathetic villains

Who are some of your favorite villains who you find sympathetic? Not necessarily that their actions are justified. Just that you find their backstory believable and you think they are sympathetic characters.

It tends to be much more complicated in reality. Like sure I'm the first person to say 'leave them!!' at a cheating partner but when kids are involved and possible joint assets/financial stability it can be a lot harder to just up and leave. Plus she likely still loves him and a lot of people are willing to move past cheating because of that.

And ultimately we don't know them as people or what's been discussed behind the social media lens, could be she just really isn't all that bothered by his cheating, or maybe she is but the kids need to be grown before she can leave. I've seen that more than once in my life.

Tamora Pierce Tortall books are all solid. They actually get stronger as they go along imo!
