I find the shows in that universe so disappointing. Chicago Fire could have been really good! They had great characters and the setting made for interesting storylines. But it got bogged down in unnecessary and stupid drama so quickly, ugh.

Chicago Med and the police one didn't even have the benefit of a somewhat unique setting, making the stupid over the top drama even more obvious and annoying.

All shows like this seem to always want to add 'ship drama and baby drama and back-story drama and addiction drama, like...okay, so, yes, those things happen, but can they NOT be the entire fucking whole of the plot after 2 episodes? Please?

I get so SICK of romance and baby drama, in particular - those things are the things I skip over in my annual ER rewatch, every time. (That and as much of Abbey as possible....)

Yes, and the way they obviously circle through the characters with the drama plotlines, ugh.

Urgh, yes. EVERY woman that gets pregnant has to have some kind of drama, either almost losing it, or almost dying, or it's a preemie, or SOMETHING. Never just a healthy, easy pregnancy like a lot of women ACTUALLY HAVE.

It's like they can't conceive of anything else to write about; without those hackneyed plot points, there wouldn't even be a show.
