Movie got me back into Dune. Actually rewatching miniseries this weekend.

Still loving Dungeons and Dragons. And Tolkien is always my fandom.

Lemme ask you a random question about Tolkien: I've tried to read LotR a couple of times and was just bored by it. But for some reason I really want to read and like these books. Do you think I'd have any more luck with the Hobbit or do you think if I didn't like one I probably won't like any?

Hobbit does seem to be liked by more people than Tolkien's other stuff. It is very different. BUt his general writing style, which is very descriptive in a way many think is slow, is still the same.

Have you tried the audiobooks? Some people prefer that over reading them.

I haven't tried the audiobooks, I might give them a go.

A lot of the time I just have to read something at the right time for it to click, so I suppose I'll just keep giving him a go when the mood strikes and see if it ever sticks.

I've been wanting to rewatch the mini-series! (I'm still always surprised to see James McAvoy in Children of Dune for some reason)

I plan to rewatch Children of Dune next weekend. I own both on dvd and digital.

I own them on DVD as well! I used to be kinda annoyed with how much space my DVD collection was starting to take up, but these days there are quite a few series where I wish DVDs even existed so I could OWN them. :/ (... ofc course I have a chunk of them... uhm... on an external harddrive... uhm Idk how they got there tbh. But it's just not the same. Some things I want to *display* like a trophy.)

I hope to have time for a rewatch now that Dune 2 is still fresh in my mind.
