Movie got me back into Dune. Actually rewatching miniseries this weekend.

Still loving Dungeons and Dragons. And Tolkien is always my fandom.

Lemme ask you a random question about Tolkien: I've tried to read LotR a couple of times and was just bored by it. But for some reason I really want to read and like these books. Do you think I'd have any more luck with the Hobbit or do you think if I didn't like one I probably won't like any?

Hobbit does seem to be liked by more people than Tolkien's other stuff. It is very different. BUt his general writing style, which is very descriptive in a way many think is slow, is still the same.

Have you tried the audiobooks? Some people prefer that over reading them.

I haven't tried the audiobooks, I might give them a go.

A lot of the time I just have to read something at the right time for it to click, so I suppose I'll just keep giving him a go when the mood strikes and see if it ever sticks.

I've been wanting to rewatch the mini-series! (I'm still always surprised to see James McAvoy in Children of Dune for some reason)

I plan to rewatch Children of Dune next weekend. I own both on dvd and digital.

I own them on DVD as well! I used to be kinda annoyed with how much space my DVD collection was starting to take up, but these days there are quite a few series where I wish DVDs even existed so I could OWN them. :/ (... ofc course I have a chunk of them... uhm... on an external harddrive... uhm Idk how they got there tbh. But it's just not the same. Some things I want to *display* like a trophy.)

I hope to have time for a rewatch now that Dune 2 is still fresh in my mind.

Baldur's Gate 3 atm. I flit between looking at art on tumblr and twitter while chatting to some other people playing it on discord. I'm not into fic for this fandom as it's nearly all OC/companion stuff which I don't jive with reading-wise, but I love seeing art of people's Tav's and their chosen LI, and art of the companions in general.

There's some fans I... steer clear of, but for the most part I'm able to skip past any drama and just enjoy the chill side of the fandom.

Warhammer 40k and Baldur's Gate 3 and tumblr for both (altho I'm active on DW so if anyone is a fan of either of those things and are also active on DW, we should be friends!).

I love reading Warhammer lore (either fantasy or 40k, not picky), but the fandom terrifies me.

I'm still on my Markiplier egos brainrot. Although I've been watching a few lore videos for the adventure stories, I've also still been deep diving on the RPF drama from 2016 on Tumblr because I'm nosy and its fascinating to me.

Plus I've been creating fanworks on Tumblr and AO3, as well as going onto pinterest for all my Markiplier lockscreens & old fanarts.

Also I've been enjoying the new Welcome Home arg update :'D

getting back into RDR2 and chillaxing basically by myself.
I've tried a server, i've tried lurking tumblr... idk nothing is really calling to me. Everyone's art rules, new and old, and that's nice to peruse.

i did finish a fic of my fav pair for the fandom, with more on the waaaay somedaaaaaay lol ♥

Re-Animator movies, AGAIN.
I spend an ungodly amount of time reading and rereading fanfiction on AO3.Sometimes I'm on tumblr, mostly lurking, but more often then not I just write long rambling on my own personal obscure website... I'm mostly asocial in my fandom activities nowadays.

I'm in the mood for longfics with the dynamic I like (younger/older slash) so Teen Wolf scratches that itch pretty well, since there's a LOT of good fic.

If anybody has any recs for fandoms with this dynamic, please drop 'em. (Live action only; I can't get into animation or comics.)

I've been writing Stargate Universe since 2010 and show no signs of stopping. I recently got back into Longmire after having a really vivid casefic dream I had to write. And my friend just gave me a Once Upon a Time fic plot bunny when I haven't written in that fandom since like 2014 lol. I exist solely on AO3 and Discord where I only talk to my friends who are also writers and share my overlapping fandoms. One day I will write the stupidest and most nonsensical crossover!

I've stumbled back into the Moomins on from TMNT.
