I am psychologically hungry, but not physically hungry, so I am trying to resist snack temptation in my quest to be more healthy. But I reallllly wanna munch.

Still not fully thrilled with the situation at work but at least I got a breather and some direction. Hopefully, I can figure out other stuff tomorrow and not be slammed with new craziness.

Other than that, just finished some Mexican take-out and a beer.

Would chewing gum help with the sensation of hunger? It does for me sometimes.

Four months into the new year and its been a rough to weird few months.

Don't have to deal with an asshole dentist any more, but now I think me and my mom caught covid there when we both got our treatment and now I'm worried about my Dad catching it.
Plus my mental health has been shit, but I've had to push it aside to care for family and two of my friends own break-downs... I'm so damn tired and tempted to go draw fan art instead of facing another AI-chat bot for a job interview.

Uh, well, slowly getting better. I haven't been this sick in years, though. Have to go back to work tomorrow and catch up on a week's worth of work. I'm still really tired and not great. But I have to get stuff done because I only have until next Thursday before I have my scheduled vacation.

Also the stronger antibiotic is making me really nauseus.

Blackadder (series 2 and 3)

The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, and New Girl are probably my favorites.

I just did a New Girl rewatch and there are a few episodes that are just too 2ndhand embarrassing for me to watch but overall that show is just gold with how fucking weird and funny it is.

Galavant. How I Met Your Mother. The Simpsons in the early years. Futurama, also early years. Night Court. Police Squad! (amazing and should have run longer).

Does The Good Place count? Does Monk count? Both are mixed genres but with a lot of comedy elements.

I need to mention Newsradio because it's so funny and you can actually watch it.

Everyone go watch it now. Start with episode 2, the pilot is pretty bad.

My family is full of those people. One donut left? Leave it. One slice of pizza? No one wants to be the one to eat it. One oreo left in a pack? It will be there for a week. At this point I just eat or throw away that last one.

I only get that way with food at the office. If someone brings donuts and there is only one left, I'll take only half or none. And really that's mostly because I'm the only fat person in the office and I don't want to be judged for it.

My family was the opposite. Don't leave anything if you don't want someone else to eat it. It definitely contributed to my weird food insecurity issues that I'm still working through.

My family can sometimes be obnoxious about this. Each one will insist someone else have the last piece while everyone else demurs and it can go on for ten minutes. I have no patience for this bullshit and, if it's something I like, I'll grab it and eat it just to shut them up.

This is also a problem when it comes to paying for a meal out, especially between my mom and her mom ("I'm retired, let me treat you!" "Exactly, I'm still working, so I have income, I'll pay for it." "But my house is paid off, I can cover lunch." etc etc etc). I solve that problem by just pulling out my own credit card and suddenly they come to an agreement 'cause they don't want me paying.

Oh man, my husband will always eat it.

He made me SO MAD the other day. We ordered a medium pizza but it was cut into six HUGE slices, so I cut mine in half and had two slices, and I wandered back at midnight to have another and he'd eaten it! He just assumed it was his instead of asking. The gluttony.

My revenge when grocery shopping was to buy a frozen pizza in a brand he despises but I like for a meal next week. I know he'll eat half, but he won't enjoy it.

Best served cold, etc.

My father leaves pieces of bread. It's so damn weird. Just always this one small piece on a table after eating.
