Gaming!

(Anonymous) 2024-04-07 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)I started Horizon Zero Dawn and loved it but I haven't felt like sitting down to a commitment game, if you know what I mean. I'll get back to it though!

(Anonymous) 2024-04-07 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)Genshin: Pretty boring atm. That new banner they implemented hated me just as much as the weapon's banner. Still burnt out on Fontaine/never really warmed up to it so all the quest I still have there remain unfinished.
Dragon's Dogma 2: making my way through it slowly. There is a lot to do. Just like the first one, I mainly enjoy the gameplay and scenery, the plot is pretty uninteresting again. Pawns more or less talking to each other can be kinda cute. They're still pretty dumb though. Something I find fascinating is how the devs actually changed the dumbass "romance" system from the first game only to end up with something that's almost as bad, just in a different way. Guys, if you're gonna halfass it again, just leave it out entirely! I promise nobody is playing this game for the romance!
Baldur's Gate: Bit the bullet and loaded my only pre-messup save from the end of Act 1. Have to make my way through all of Act 2 now but I was just too angry at the bug to just finish it with the state I arrived at. I'm not super motivated though and Dragon's Dogma is eating most of my gaming time atm.
Final Fantasy 7: Playing together with a friend so it's very slow going because of scheduling. Not really feeling it, to be honest. Dislike the more explicit romance options. Hate the weirdo characters showing up that the game expects you to magically know but they're from some mobile game I never played and look like they're straight out of Kingdom Hearts so I'm just confused. Not sure where that whole alternate timeline stuff is going and am not a fan so far.

(Anonymous) 2024-04-07 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)I also bought Sea of Stars and if I have the time, will start that up before Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes drops in under 3 weeks.

(Anonymous) 2024-04-08 03:45 am (UTC)(link)Might quit Valheim for a while. One bad group can really shit all over your day. Meh.
Re: Gaming!
I've also got games of NEO:The World Ends With You, Cult of the Lamb, Mass Effect 2, and Arkham Asylum going that I'm not actively playing, but haven't 'officially' abandoned. (Mass Effect 2 is the only one of the lot that I've finished before, but this is the first time with all the DLC.)

(Anonymous) 2024-04-08 01:07 am (UTC)(link)Just whatever I'm feeling on the moment. I do wanted to catch-up to games I get when 90% off and then leave gathering dust, or Epic's freebies.

(Anonymous) 2024-04-08 03:33 am (UTC)(link)The Sims
From 2000-2017 the original one was all I played. Have since also played Sims 2, Sims 3 and Sims 4. I love Sims 2 and Sims 3. Really don't care for Sims 4 - it's glitchy/broken and shallow/boring. It did do some neat things like make a search bar for build/buy, it's become very blatantly queer friendly and acknowledges disability and diversity - you can now have trans sims, sims with hearing aids or diabetes monitors and sims with vitiligo. If only it was interesting to actually play. Sims 2 is the best sims game (the most things right/the least things wrong) but Sims 3 suits my gameplay style more. Open world, colour wheel for sims and for build/buy, sims with so much personality. I have recently played saves in the original The Sims, in Sims 2 and in Sims 3. I play Sims 3 the most.
Games I'm looking forward to trying out Life By You, Enzoi and Paralives. Life By You reminds me of Sims 3 the most so I'm expecting to prefer it but we'll see.
