Well, you're not in their position so you are not one to say. I'm a lesbian, but I don't go around parading it. However, someone doing that doesn't bother me because I'm not a douche.

I mean yes, I'm all for gay rights, but when people are going IM GAY, THIS IS HOW I AM LOLZ IM FLAMBOYANT NOW GIVE ME RIGHTS and everyone's all "... whoa," then...

You do realize that this is what white people say about the difference between blacks and the 'n' word? "Oh they're fine if they dress and act like us! But if they start wearing baggy clothes and talking funny, I don't like them"

It bothers you because you're letting it bother you. I understand you don't hate it or anything, but you definitely sound intolerant.

I understand what you said once you started elaborating and apologize for any vindictive tone I had; however, if they want people to accept them even if they know people won't, there's really nothing wrong with that. It takes a lot of courage to do that, no matter how annoying you may act in doing so.

Sometimes this stuff makes you defensive and you begin to sound a bit angrier than you really are. I guess that's what's going on with me at the moment, and it's because of how the discussion was started. Thanks for being understanding.

I agree, I wish people could just be comfortable in their own skins. But that's not always the person's fault :[

♥ Its okay, I mean...it is a sensitive subject that people rarely actually open up about...mostly because nobody wants to make anyone hate them or get anyone mad... (at least...in my case? ;-; I absolutely hate losing friends.)

Wow, way to generalize white people.

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey moron, I was giving example of white people who say that exactly. I could give an example of women who hate men, or men who hate women, or gays who hate straight people. It doesn't mean I'm saying it applies to everyone.

Most of the gay people however, are not like this. That is a personality type/behaviour pattern, not their sexuality. Which is what the secret claimed it was hating. Gay people, not flamboyant homosexual men who twirl around in a tutu squealing in a high pitched voice and fixing everyone's makeup. (which, I personally don't find *that* annoying)

ugh thank you for being sane A PRUSUUUU

I just reread my post and it sounded like I was saying that the secretmaker was saying that they just hate the stereotype of the pink makeup guy. When I actually think the secretmaker was saying they hate gay people (the sexuality, and gay people in general), ie, including the stereotype, but all sorts of gay people as well. Since that's what "I hate gay people" means. They didn't say "I hate flamboyant gays".
Just clarifying...
Heh, and I personally think that I'm quite sane.
