9. I really detest people like this. I hate that people just can't get along with others because of elitism. It makes me cry inside.

1. Erin? X3

2. And while I doubt it, this totally makes me think MARY.

4. So did you write slash just because you figured it'd make you popular?

5. That is awesome! Sora poster, eee. ♥

[identity profile] infringe.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
7. Oh snap, it's MANA-SAMA. ♥

[identity profile] ironjill.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Honestly? I'm with you. Flaming gays really grate at my nerves. I feel like they're trying to beg for attention because they're gay. I had a friend who came out as gay, and I can barely stand him because of the...flamboyant; attention-begging nature that he has...When he came out, he suddenly had to be feminine and all this rot and it was absolutely ridiculous. ._.

1. Oh, I do that too. Seishirou Sakurazuka is the recipe for hot -- sunglasses, suit, and cigarettes -- but smoking in real life grosses me out beyond belief.

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, some people can't help their personalities. Ever think you're falling victim to Fundamental Attribution Error concerning your friend? He's not hurting anyone, and sometimes people feel so alienated as a societal minority that they automatically attach themselves to stereotypes presented on TV. I'm pretty sure every kid from the ghetto that happens to act tough and angry and bitter and materialistic and violent wasn't born that way, it's just the way they identify with what's already judged upon them.

I think people need to up their tolerance levels but :P that's just me.

4. You're gay. lol.

[identity profile] killcity.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
6. I hate to gush but... I live right around that man :D ♥♥ (literally)~

[identity profile] kurachu.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
1. ZELMAN CLOCK IS THE WIN YO

4. Have fun with that. :D

[identity profile] ironjill.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I just don't see why people need to suddenly change because they decide their sexuality. He's still my friend, and I love him to death, but I hate that he changed himself because he wanted to fit into the gay scene. The same with kids from the ghetto.

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I know I thought it was pretty gay too rofl

[identity profile] ironjill.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry? I think I could have worded it better, honestly. I just absolutely hate stereotyping, and I feel bad for people who decide to fall into a stereotype to fit in. The same with any stereotype.

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It has nothing to do with sexuality, that's what you're blind to. What about black kids who start wearing bling and baggy clothes and get involved in violence because they grew up in a violent area? It's called human imprinting of a community, and you are all attributing your cognitive biases to someone's disposition rather than their circumstances, and that's lame.

[identity profile] ironjill.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what I don't understand! That suddenly you have to change, or that one's whole world-view should be different because of your sexuality...

4. A couple have already replied about this one- but to be honest, what's the point in wasting your time? o_o So they hate gay people, oh well, it's not like their oppinion will stop people being gay. At the end of the day, people can do whatever (or whoever XDD IM SORRY I COULDN'T RESIST D:) they like, and a hostile oppinion isn't going to change that.

I can understand the oppinion of possibly loving fictionally gay characters, but the idea of real-life gay sex can freak someone out a bit, heck, hetero sex can freak someone out too. I grew up as a muslim, and still am very much one too, i don't agree with homosexuality, but if people want to go ahead and be gay, then it's got nothing to do with me, but infact that person decision, annnndddd at the end of the day, someone's sexuality doesn't make you who you are.

I think the person who made the banner is probably really confused- and if you're going to really badly deny it and leave an anonymous comment having a go at me for being wrong about you being confused, then no matter what i say, your warped sense of logic can't be helped by a few mere words XD

WTF- I TYPED MORE THAN I HAD PLANNED.

[identity profile] shahni.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I completely agree. I just can't stand it when lolbeinggay is used as some sort of attention whoring device.

It's not like I hate 'gays' (in the omgumustdie kinda way) but more of the whole 'lollookatmeimgayandsofemmylolz' thing that's annoying.

Then again, I don't read/watch real gay pr0ns either. I'll take my fantasies like clean and pretty fantasies thank you. ♥

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Agh, let me rephrase that. I'm not angry at you, you can have your opinion. It's just saying you hate gay people, or that you agree with that secret to an extent just because someone is acting campy? Perhaps you need to watch your words, because I don't think he'd like hearing that very much :\ But I didn't mean to attack you or patronize you.

[identity profile] shahni.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
LOLZMANA.

... I love his dresses, Princess. I want them. (And I freaked out when I heard his voice because I thought he was a woman for a YEAR. xD)

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
It has nothing to do with disagreeing with her being angry about her friend changing; it's to the extent of what she's attributing it to.

That way, it's justifiable to get angry whenever anyone fits in to a community.

Hate your friend when they start talking about Naruto instead of Bleach.

Hate your friend when they start listening to rock and dressing like a rocker rather than pop or whatever.

Please.

[identity profile] ovendoor.livejournal.com 2007-04-07 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I understand why you think that, but homophobia is still pretty much on a high in England, and yet it's now legal for gay people to marry.
Basing the future on stupid opinions will get you no where. I know it's caused people a lot of shit, but at the end of the day, you are who you are, and an opinion won't change that.
