I sometimes wish August Rush had a fandom too, until I realize it would be full of fangirls gushing about how hawt Jonathan Rhys Meyers is and maybe even writing shota fanfic about August. No love for Wizard (who looks like he was INTENDED to be a Draco In Leather Pants, ffs) though, because Robin Williams is not an OMGHOTBISHIE. -_-;

Awww I would write you that fic. (if I could write for shit anymore.) My Abyss OT3 is Luke/Asch/Guy, but honestly, I will ship anything, and I do love me some Luke/Tear.

125. Oh god, I would never recommend Gantz to anyone I like it, but seriously I was reading the first 30-40 chapters or something that like that for sheer trainwreck value. And then somewhere in there I realized 'wow, this...actually turned into something really really good, and most the really offensive stuff is a part of that transformation'.

You aren't 'the favourite' anymore therefore he or she is crazy? Maybe you are getting the cold shoulder for a good reason, or maybe not, but either way it's not crazy. You are just jealous.

Maybe the "crazy" comment was taking it a little far, but I think they have a right to be a little jealous. It SUCKS when you get all of this attention from an role playing friend and then all of a sudden, another role play is seemingly more important than yours. It's hard to get used to when they used to pay so much attention to you.

Movie fucking blew.

I thought it was going to suck based on the trailers and, while the action scenes and special effects were very entertaining, the blatant sexism just made me wince way too much. Kind of ruined the whole movie and I really tried to not let it.

I know that's not the reason why you aren't going to see the movie and the cartoons/comics are probably worse, but all these people going, "FUCK YOU, G.I. JOE WAS AWESOME!!!" have their heads up their ass because while it was a fun movie (besides the sexist crap) it was also really dumb and cheesy.

They do get points for having an interracial romance though. Still a lot of fail though. :/

Honestly, I don't care if page 4 was right and you are trolling. I'm behind you on this.

Given, it's excessive and kinda sad to ACTUALLY disown the friends, but I'd be the one glaring, asking WHY?!?!, and telling them I hate them. And I will have to do that, once I find out that some of my friends HAVE gone to see it. (Some of them mentioned a while back that they were going to.)

And no, I'm not up my ass about them ruining the original plot and the mood of the story. I'm up my own ass about the fact that G.I. FUCKING JOE's ARE G.I. Not cyborgs. If they wanted to make a movie about the game Crackdown, they should have labeled it as such. But no, they decided that their movie about men in fatigues was too good for the fatigues. They seem to have missed the point of the infantry men.

I was never into G.I. Joe. I think we had ONE toy. And (every preview for) this movie pisses me off.

102. He's in an episode of "Wanted: Dead or Alive" with Steve McQueen. NOT a bad western. All the seasons are on DVD. Find it and enjoy. :)

109 - There could be underlying reasons that you're not aware of, either on their part, or there might be something you've done that you didn't even realize. My advice would be, talk it out. Don't let something minor become bigger and potentially ruin a friendship.

127 - Yeah, the movie was cheesy, but it was also fun. And considering the G. I. Joe I grew up with had a scene where the Joes and Cobras played ice hockey with a sensitive piece of equipment, I'm not too terribly critical of the film. The toy line and cartoon were filled with goofy stuff. The comics were a different story, but I don't know how many of the fans who grew up with Joe were real familiar with them.

Also, interestingly enough, I remember similar anger back when my younger cousin and I were playing with G.I. Joes, and our oldest cousin gave US a hard time, because the Joes we played with were so cheesy compared to the originals he had.

I don't fault you for not enjoying what Sommers did with the movie... what he does isn't for everyone. But I think abandoning a friendship because someone else dares to see(not even like, but just SEE) the movie is a little infantile.
