109.- First of all; I reeeeeaally hope this isn't about me >__> I'd feel really awful.

If it is, or isn't:

Try talking about it. A friend of mine recently approached me and told me she felt like I wasn't paying any attention to her in or out of our RP (there're 5 people in that game) and she was sad because out of game, I wasn't talking to her either. I didn't realize it had affected her, and I felt badly because I didn't mean anything by it. In game, we hadn't been talking because I was severely distracted by a plotline in another thread. Out of game we weren't talking because I didn't have anything very interesting to say and didn't feel like she'd wanna hear me whining/blathering. So, Anon, maybe just mention how you feel? We don't mean to be mean. We just don't realize.

Race Bannon X Dr.Quest was the first gay couple I remember ever considering while watching television (other than Kirk/Spock which I realized only later in life) I always just assumed they were together, and I wouldn't listen if anyone told me differently. :3


127.- Dude. I hear you. I freaked out when I saw it. They pussy-fied Cobra and the Joes until I couldn't even SEE them anymore.
Just pretend it's a nameless action movie that happens to have Cobra in it. *nod* That should help.

I'm gonna see the movie, probably, but it will NEVER be G.I. Joe to me.

I started out drawing nothing but Inu-Yasha, and when Inu-Yasha stopped being my favorite; I drew catboys in homage. You may not find anything that you're as in love with, but that's what drawing's all about! Make your own new stuff up! :D

I'm pretty sure that since Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer are well aware of Jonny Quest and so much of the show parodies it, that they were aware of the homosexual implications of Race and Dr. Quest's relationship and some of that is reflected in Dr. Venture and Brock's relationship (to an extent, nothing as suggestive as Jonny Quest).

And I agree with you -- I completely refuse to believe that Dr. Quest and Race Bannon were not in a relationship.

125 GANTZ is fucking hilarious. It was even funnier before it was translated and you could get the Japanese volumes for next to nothing just to laugh at everything. Everything about it is funny to me. The villains, the situations, the shitty artwork (anatomy fail), everything. I mean, the first volume I ever read looked at involved some kind of chicken people who screamed really loud and appeared to make people's mucous membranes explode. And every chapter begins with an illustration of a badly drawn half-naked chick. It's so ridiculous I can't not laugh at it.

tl;dr Who the fuck takes GANTZ seriously?

126 Well, technically the Venture Brothers do have two dads canonically, since Brock is for all intents and purposes, a second father to them. Even if Dr. Venture and Brock Samson aren't in a canon relationship.

I seriously LOL at people like you. Gods forbid a fandom should grow out a movie based on, of all things, a TOY LINE that was made into comic books. Mature. Real mature.

As a child of the 80's I have to say I grew up playing with the GI Joe's -- me and bro would always fight over who got to be Cobra and my solitary doll was always the subject of cruelty at the hands of Cobra Commander (regardless of who ended up beating whom's ass for that particular toy). And oddly enough I did turn out to be a sane adult.

And I actually quite liked the movie. I mean it was a typical action film so can't really expect much from it. Not tomention it had the feel of a movie made in the 80's which is fine by me. But wanting to ditch your friends because they went to see a movie you have only seen the trailer to... I can honestly say you are a lame ass that really really doesn't deserve friends in the first place. I'd hate to see what you would do if your "friends" had an opinion of their own!! Ugh, the horror!

Yeah. It's kind of like the Transformers people carrying on about the movies not holding on to the integrity of the show and sane people say "Dude. It was a show created to sell toys. There is no freaking integrity. Lighten up." I played with GI Joes a lot with my brother- and I gave the extra GI Joe guns and bayonets to my Barbies so the girls could have some fun too. But I digress- I totally agree with you about the OP.

104) It's been months since 11 was announced. I can see writing a few choice rants about it, but this chick is still going on about it now? I can't wait until the new season starts up. The 10 only fans will eventually finish their epics and move on and the "I'll always love my favorite, but I'll take whatever doctor I can get" people will be back in full squee.

106) I don't have a problem with red headed OC's, but I wish that everyone (including the canon writers) would give the "Red hair means you are feisty" cliche a rest. How about a red haired OC who is quiet and mousy, or studious and rational, or motherly, or dim, or, you know any of the spectrum of personality traits a woman can have if you don't believe all she is should be determined in two seconds by looking at her across a room.

109) *Snuggles* I have a friend who does that, and I've been the friend to warn others about it. I wouldn't use the word "crazy" though. Just oblivious and a bit self-absorbed. Move on.

115) Resist clicking on her stuff. You can like someone as a person and still not enjoy their work. Many of my closest friends will not read my stuff because of pairing/content squick. She's got to know her stuff is an acquired taste and not universally appealing. Meanwhile what you haven't seen need not be unseen.

125) I was put off because the whole thing seems to an utterly pointless excuse to have characters killed and blown up and in other ways physically and psychically tortured. This is a bit weird coming from someone who rapes and humiliates characters, but for me the motivation is the heart of the story. The half-assed "people do bad things because they suck" excuse for motive is just anti-sexy.

126) Most of the humor will go over her head, but if she's fine with it, why not? LOL, Brock/Dr. Venture. I'm waiting for the episode where Brock has to fuck Rusty to save him from some ridiculous plot point. Brock's expression will be priceless and Rusty will whine through the whole thing.

If you had the time to make a secret, you could've had the time to read a bit further and give it an honest chance. There are like 25+ volumes out now, so it's really kind of dumb to get so worked up over the initial first few chapters.

Speaking as someone who utterly loves the manga, I can't help but take offense at your name-calling. If it doesn't work for you, fine; everyone has different tastes and yadda yadda -- but don't sit there and be an ignorant jackass about it. Especially the comment about Gantz not having any decent female characters...!

And I take it you've never seen any women with naturally large breasts? But hey, thanks a lot for calling us "retarded-looking".

I think the OP was referring to having an overwhelming majority of female characters with enormous breasts. It's like you wouldn't complain about one fashion-obsessed, supergirly female character, because such people do exist and they can be awesome, but if all the female characters (or most of them) follow that mold, there's a problem.

Of course, I haven't read the manga under discussion, so I can't say anything specific. But these generalities hold true.

Yeah, I tend to have characters with black or otherwise dark-colored hair, so if a redheaded OC popped up in my portfolio, that would be Diversity.
