I loved the Gregor series, and I would love to see it have a film franchise.

she gets exactly as much critical acclaim as she deserves

her books have a couple really compelling ideas, and strong propulsive pacing that comes from Collins' days as a TV writer, but there are other elements of the books that are just...really, really clunky. i sincerely think it's good that YA books for "baby's first political philosophy" exist and are decently written and popular but high literary nuance and craft they are not

I don't know if this is her motive, but I don't like the way people are acting like she's writing more books until you "get it" and to them "getting it" means not caring about the shipping. People got the message of the books, they just talked more about the ships because it was the most fun and easy thing to fandom about. You can understand the "deeper" parts of a book and also be invested in the shipping!

lmao This is why I love Gankutsuou where (SPOILERS) the Count and Albert develop romantic feelings for each other.

The director really went hey, let's do something different. Mercedes gets shafted a little as a result, but I think the point was that the Count was in love with revenge more than he ever loved her, and both of them had become different people by the end. The woman he loved had moved on and his priorities changed.

Especially since it's not being cucked at all, and it would be weird and silly for any audience member to think of it that way.

I actually think the point is to make the reveal and the almost duel even more dramatic, but I agree it's annoying.

Would the concert be standing room only? Or are seats an option? How would you get there?

I’ve never been to a concert where it was standing room only for 10,000 people, but I heard Swift did have some shows like that (sounds like a recipe for disaster though). If it’s all standing room, maybe you can hang out more in the back and to the sides instead of in the middle where you’re more likely to get squished. You can chat with the people around you, trade bracelets, and make friends for the night to give you a greater sense of safety.

I mean, I can’t blame them for trying. People don’t always have the means to travel for concerts and I usually assume those commenters are kids who probably wouldn’t know to contact a label. I honestly didn’t know what label my favorite bands were on ‘cause that wasn’t information I cared about and it rarely came up.
