Oh man, I used to plan days off around movies I could see by myself, lol. Nothing more awesome than an empty theatre (or close to it), lounging in a reclining leather seat with chicken nuggets and herbal tea (or an icee, depending on what I'm feeling), seeing an awesome movie on the big screen.

But I admit having a better theatre likely adds to the experience.

Well, as I said, it's a better theatre, so it sells those types of snacks. (Even beer and pizza!) Yes, it's overpriced, but I go so infrequently these days that it doesn't bother me.

The most I'd try to sneak into theatre is maybe a box of candy.

FWIW

When I sneak in food, I bring in a salad or sandwich. My nieces uses to like sneaking in Lunchables. We snuck in candy/snack size chips. I sat next to a dude who snuck in an apple and can of La Croix at a screening of "Black Panther". One of my friends brought a Tupperware full of homemade brownies once.
I usually carry a big purse in which I can put my food into.
A friend and I once got beach bags from Dollar Tree and we put our snacks and purses inside the beach bags.
The dude at the "Black Panther" screening wore a puffy vest and had stashed his goods on the inside pockets.

I go to the dollar store and sneak in cheaper M&Ms and Pepsi by hiding them in the depths of my bag. Half the time they don't even look at it anyway because they're underpaid and ill equipped to deal with someone who might get agitated.

Same.

Though I went to see Venom: The Last Dance, and when I bought my ticket I was the only sold seat so I chose middle/back row as always, and when I get there, someone had picked the seat next to mine.

NO ONE ELSE IN THE WHOLE THEATRE.

Like, you had to buy THAT seat? Not the row in front of me? :|

Ffs that is awful!

One time I was with a friend and this guy decided to sit near us. To be a creep I guess. Because it was a big almost empty venue.
I was absolutely obnoxious as fuck the whole movie till he was rethinking his choices
