I met and chatted with Steve Lieber earlier this year, at a comic con. He was friendly and awesome. We talked for about 10 minutes about his work and techniques. I was impressed and would love to talk shop with him again. ^^ Oh yeah, and his wife is nice, too! (appologies for my comment not having any relevance to the actual secret)

TB3- Oh man, I remember my mom flipping through my sketchbook because she thought I might have somehow left a homework assignment in it or something....and yes, this does relate to this secret. But at least she didn't say anything, so it's not as awkward as the time I made a Bingo card listing the most disturbing things in fandom, and not only did she find it, but also read it OUT LOUD. *shudders*

Aaaw, I feel the same. I don't think I care enough to actually do it, but I sure dream about it. If I was rich enough to have both a western house and a very traditional japanese house that would be super faithful to the real ones, I'd do it in an instant.
I'm kind of an ex-weeaboo, I don't care much about a handful of anime and I'm definitely not a creepy otaku so I don't guilt myself too much.

Thanks, enfeebledchibi. You're the first person online, besides maybe three of my closest friends, who feel the same way. I never quite agreed with the argument that no actual children being exploited means it can't be child porn. If you draw a character who's clearly about 10 with tears in his eyes getting groped by someone who's past puberty, congratulations! You created kiddie porn and no amount of cute Japanese words are going to mask that.
