I love Yamane and Houko from The Severing Crime Edge. They even recognize how messed up they are, but they’re isolated and traumatized enough that they’re all each other has.

Evil Elf Jesus is pretty fine but Halbrand was way hotter to me.

Personally, though, I'm really hoping we get at least one scene were he's a red-headed dwarf 'cause then we'll complete the knock-off Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli set.

(And I say that with love. I adore this show.)

I didn’t know this was a thing. In fic or in professional media. Is it usually two people of the same sex or different sexes?

(I can only think of two examples in films and TV, and one of them doesn’t really count by the end of the story)

Pasta is top tier comfort food and also I respect a chef coming home and NOT wanting to do something labor intensive, so like... I'm not mad about it if a gourmet chef character's go-to food to make is pasta, or even if it's their go-to food to make for a loved one or a new relationship... but if the goal is to IMPRESS, then that pasta better be handmade ravioli where your pasta sheets are laminated with herbs, maybe even edible flowers.

Then again... I've impressed people with lasagnas and that is legit one of the easiest things to throw together for me? So if the other person doesn't cook, it's not really unrealistic just because I-the-audience know there's nothing impressive about the dish being made.

I’m a little surprised they didn’t go with Pond when they got there. Maybe it took a while for Amy to find him, and he’d already established himself as Williams.

But yeah, I’m sure it’s mostly because of the era they were thrown into.

I like the movies well enough but I do not love them like some parts of the internet do, for me they're just distinctly okay? If anything if I'd paid to go see the first one I think I would have hated it because it takes far too long to get to the actual Venoming part of the movie, like I was getting bored and almost turned it off at several points but I really wanted to stick it out to see what they did with Venom.

Prior to Halo 5's release and during theorycrafting days on what it was going to be about, I read Frederich Nietzche's Thus Spake Zarathustra and a bit of John Locke's theories of Tabula Rasa in order to write an AU fic in that imaginary future, where Halo 5 turned out to be about John's personal quest for freedom from the UNSC while the Forerunners and Precursors returned to the galaxy for Round Three.

Needless to say, I studied philosophy and all I got was a lousy game.

Even if you never get to use that knowledge for your fandoms, you can still use it for original writing and general knowledge. Said lessons in philosophy, while ultimately discarded due to Brian Reed being the worst thing that ever happened to Halo, served me in doing original fiction, and... well, staying semi-sane in interesting times.

I know they didn't get much Giles that season because the actor had other commitments, but I once saw someone suggest that he should have gone to the UK to convince the Watcher's Council to FUCKING PAY HER A WAGE, so at least he would have been trying to support her.

I suspect (or hope) that this secret isn’t really aimed at me or people like me.

That said… “his Doctor is awesome” doesn’t mean anything besides “I liked this”.

Because I have tried so hard to like this new Doctor. I was eager about a new, energetic twist on the show. I had heard great things about Gatwa and thought he sounded like a fun and interesting casting choice.

But with every episode, I’m finding it harder to summon the energy to make myself interested. As someone posted recently, it feels a bit like he’s just playing his default persona.

So I’d actually love to know what you or anyone else specifically like about this Doctor.
