I just find it a lot harder to enjoy SW given how absolutely insufferable the fandom is. I've long debated over which fandom is the worst and after much thought, I've decided it's Star Wars: just a bunch of unpleasable assholes. If all these fans who go on and on about how they are done with Star Wars for whatever reason, would actually be done with Star Wars, the fandom might be a tolerable place. Instead, they hang around, continuing to watch everything while constantly loudly hating on everything.

Saaaaame! Mentally I can't get past it. I always will mentally pause and the bold worlds will be emphasized and also slowed in my mind and it prevents me from focusing on the actual story because my mind catches on these emphasized words and the narrative won't be absorbed at all because I am distracted by the bold.

One thing I've wondered: is this an english language comics specifically thing? The comics I've read in other languages don't do this.

Yeah, I don't get why they do that (never cared enough to look it up) but I've gotten so used to it that when a comic doesn't bold some words, it feels incomplete to me. It's weird!
