... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

1. At this point, I don't trust anybody to show up and participate in any fandom event unless they've got literal money invested into it somehow.
2. I don't even care if they promised they'd show up and participate and end up not doing it. IRL happens. Circumstances change.
3. I do care if they couldn't spend the literal five minutes it'd take to shoot an email to let everyone else know they're unable to participate instead of disappearing. That's what really shows everyone how much they value others' time, which is 'not at all.'

I genuinely do not understand why everything must now also be in Lego. I await eagerly the now surely inevitable Freddy Krueger Lego edition. It must be coming, everything else has been Legoed.

While the designs for several of the upcoming new Genshin characters are a vast improvement from most of the characters over the last year, I have a slight feeling it's kind of too little too late to get my hyped for the game again.

I wish they would polish up the Sonic games from the 00s (Heroes, Shadow, 06, Unleashed) and rerelease them on modern consoles like they have with the classics.

I wish more female characters got male love interests who were the 'pretty' type instead of the huge, hugely muscular, ENORMOUS, really masculine type. I also wish some of them were less gender-conforming, and less dominant.

I'm pretty sure this opinion could make people mad, because a lot of people would read those characters as gay and assume I just want to make them all hetero. Which is not true. I just wish more female characters got love interests I could actually find appealing.

Next time you act rude to someone online because administration from hell is ruining the entire planet, as it is, please consider that maybe the person on the other side of the screen is just some disabled, queer and/or non-white person in poverty and pain, someone who has even less on their plate, and maybe fandom is their saving grace. Kindly, yours truly.

Having them here makes it a lot harder to keep track of comments and the actual secrets, and while it's natural for there to be some discussion, I'd prefer not to go too off-topic.

We need more third person omniscient stories again. To better train children how to appreciate fictional narratives. We've raised a generation of children who are unable to consider anything other than the Main Character's perspectives, or notice things that aren't directly in the MC's line of sight. There have been too many third person limited, and first person only, kids books over the last twenty or so years. It has warped them.

Man, some people's entitlement in fandom is insane.

Pendantic but it annoys me when people are discussing shipfic or kinkfic and say "top/bottom dom/sub have nothing to do with personality"

...it totally and completely does, wtf?

It often doesn't line up stereotypically, characters' personalities can be interpreted in different ways, and assuming Trait A always means Trait B is stupid, I agree... but saying sex/kink has no relation at all to a personality is excessive in the opposite direction and spreading more wrong ideas

In The Devil Wears Prada, there's a bit where Emily says she's on a diet - she eats nothing, then when she feels faint she has a cube of cheese. Sometimes I get caught up in work, forget to eat and feel a bit wobbly; I can "hear" her say it when I go to the fridge and pull out some cheese to tide me over while I make some real food.

This series really isn't that amazing. The plot is formulaic, it relies too heavily on visual gags, and it's slow as hell to really get going.

But the fact that it stars a guy/girl/guy friendship trio that not only doesn't turn into a love triangle but also doesn't turn romantic at ALL? I will praise it to the heavens for that alone.

Ran into it today so leaving a note here so you'll see it! One of last week's postimg secret OPs asked for it not to be posted so I haven't been - they posted about it here and DMed me to ask. Out of the two, it was the one related to game shows. Just didn't want you to think it got lost or eaten again.

Secret because his later work is ridiculed and lambasted. Ooo are you scared by the stupid twist guy's gimmick films? Yes I am! I am a huge wuss!

Bonus secret: His daughter made a movie too and I am not watching that either. 2 spooky.

I was like a 20-something looking back on the 90's Sabrina the Teenaged Witch show that I realized her aunts weren't married. I have no clue why I thought they were.

Even despite Enterprise and other prequels, I still love trying to fit Forbidden Planet into Star Trek chronology and canon. It just fits so nicely. I wish canon showrunners would stop making it so hard.

The best episode of Strange New Worlds is still Those Old Scientists, because Lower Decks is still better Trek than Strange New Worlds Trek.

I wish Lower Decks had done Mr. Deadly Goes To Town instead of Archer 1999.

I think it would actually have been even funnier than it was if it had been a Trek script.

I hate power-fantasy Xander fics in Buffy fandom. I am always highly suspicious of the author's intent and personality if they write one of those.
