Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing?

Work has been awful this week (tariffs 😩). So this week I am going to try and finish my needlefelting project (a capybara) and maybe playing South of Midnight. I'm on chapter 12 of 14 so I'm close. Will also be playing games with my sister. Probably the midseason Marvel Rivals patch and Sea of Thieves (or Peak or REPO).

Going to bed at 6 PM, apparently. But tomorrow I’m going to a nice park and the next day I’m going wig shopping for baby’s first cosplay. At some point I also have to fold some laundry.

Tomorrow running a couple errands (pharmacy, tailor) and getting my hair done (wash, style, this special treatment they do for dry hair).

Other than that, in the mood to watch some Buffy.

Its probably dorky as fuck but I've been working on cannibalizing some SketchUp models i have into pieces i can export as obj to use as background building blocks. Its helping me learn the ins and outs of SketchUp tools.

Ive also found neat history asmr sleep channels that i like to listen to while working. The information is fascinating and gives me so much worldbuilding inspo!

Probably gonna spend my weekend like this staying in and nerding around with SketchUp and ancient civilizations!

I had extremely awful previous couple of weekends, so I am looking forward this one - it's busy but in a okay to good ways. Planning to see my friend who I rarely meet due to them being from a different city. Happy about it.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.

1. At this point, I don't trust anybody to show up and participate in any fandom event unless they've got literal money invested into it somehow.
2. I don't even care if they promised they'd show up and participate and end up not doing it. IRL happens. Circumstances change.
3. I do care if they couldn't spend the literal five minutes it'd take to shoot an email to let everyone else know they're unable to participate instead of disappearing. That's what really shows everyone how much they value others' time, which is 'not at all.'

I genuinely do not understand why everything must now also be in Lego. I await eagerly the now surely inevitable Freddy Krueger Lego edition. It must be coming, everything else has been Legoed.

While the designs for several of the upcoming new Genshin characters are a vast improvement from most of the characters over the last year, I have a slight feeling it's kind of too little too late to get my hyped for the game again.

I wish they would polish up the Sonic games from the 00s (Heroes, Shadow, 06, Unleashed) and rerelease them on modern consoles like they have with the classics.

I wish more female characters got male love interests who were the 'pretty' type instead of the huge, hugely muscular, ENORMOUS, really masculine type. I also wish some of them were less gender-conforming, and less dominant.

I'm pretty sure this opinion could make people mad, because a lot of people would read those characters as gay and assume I just want to make them all hetero. Which is not true. I just wish more female characters got love interests I could actually find appealing.

Next time you act rude to someone online because administration from hell is ruining the entire planet, as it is, please consider that maybe the person on the other side of the screen is just some disabled, queer and/or non-white person in poverty and pain, someone who has even less on their plate, and maybe fandom is their saving grace. Kindly, yours truly.
