The Twitch app is getting dangerously close to being removed from my phone. It's going to follow the same path as SnapChat and Twitter before it. I had Twitter on my phone for awhile, but it continually spammed me with notifications about things I wasn't interested in until I finally completely removed it from my phone.

SnapChat did the same thing. I didn't mind if it once in awhile said "Hey, you might know this person" or "Your friend so-and-so has a new post" but it started doing that multiple times a day, and THEN it started telling me "Random Celebrity/Influencer has a new post" and just all kinds of utter garbage spam. I didn't delete it, but I turned off all notifications unless I directly receive or am tagged in something. No more suggestions, they can shove the suggestions.

Twitch has started doing that too. I like the notification when someone I follow goes live, but I do not need to know that some rando I have never heard of is having a hype train, or a high number of viewers, or a suggestion to watch someone who I am currently watching (???).

If you want to once in awhile suggest something to me, I'll tolerate that. Sometimes it might be something useful or interesting. But as soon as you start badgering me with repeated bullshit, you're getting removed entirely or strictly limited.

I have a saviour complex. I try my best not to get too attached to characters because when I find one I really like I have fantasies about becoming their guardian angel. should be fine right? except whenever something bad happens to them I feel guilty and I can't quit the media they're in because then I'd feel like I'd be abandoning character to an even worse fate. I try my best to look up spoilers in advance when possible & spend a lot of time on fix-it fics.

Given the recent stuff coming out about Helly's actress covering for her husband's, ahem, misdeeds... I'm optimistic about her getting axed or at least having her role greatly diminished.

I loved her character in S1 but I'm ready to see her go. if we have to have a forbidden romance, Burt and Irving are way juicier.

besides. I'm more interested in how Mark and his wife's relationship plays out.

I used to watch Match of the Day every week as a teen. I have no interest in football as such, LOL.

I'm gonna say something controversial. I don't like that one of Rogue's voice line is "I can't feel you" whenever Gambit dies. It takes away from the moment of X-Men 97 and reduces it down to "Look! Look! Remember this?? Refereeennnce!!" And considering death is 10 seconds long... it really dampins the impact. Imagine being a shitty player, like me, and being Gambit and you keep dying and Rogue keeps saying that. Geh.

I used to share my writings with my friends, but once I hit my mid 20s I stopped sharing with people not in fandom with me XD

I don't even tell people I know IRL that I write. I wouldn't want them to ask me to share my fics with them.

I dislike Greta Gerwig's version of Little Women because Timothée Chalamet's Laurie is insufferable with none of the original's charm.

Me and the gf will be driving to see our respective families over the days of Christmas, I've got to go to work for a few days before new years but then I'm off again until the 5th. So its mostly family stuff and relaxing before another year begins.

It's kind of an unsaid thing in my family that they know I write fanfic lol, I don't offer up any specifics but they absolutely know I'm not just writing original stuff.

i haven't written in probably a decade and miss it a lot, but your secret reminded me of how when i was in middle school, i used to write m/m bandom fic and share it with my friends in class because i had no shame then lmao

Not bad! The last one was only placed correctly by 13% of players, which makes me feel better.

And my private guesses for actual dates were mostly decent. (I feel good if I get it within 10 years for the 20th century, within 50 years for the 15th-19th centuries, and within 100 years for earlier history.)

I hadn't thought about how the features of different sports might affect their RPF appeal. I guess while ice hockey does have these drawbacks, it also comes with a certain physical aggression that could be seen as hot.
