The original version was one of my first actual books (meaning not a picture book or easy reader) I read as a child and has been one of my favorite stories for years.

That being said, I dislike every other version I've watched/read. They all seem to try too hard.

Also, nothing is for everyone, and you (or Terry Pratchett) don't have to like anything :P

I don't hate it (because I've never read the book), but I don't get why some people love it so much. Maybe this is because the Disney version is one giant acid trip that left some sort of emotional scar on me when I was a child (thank you, Cheshire Cat, for having Winnie the Pooh's voice and that scary-as-fuck smile).

I'm sort of indifferent towards Alice In Wonderland, its nice and all but I never understood why everyone seems to think its the BEST STORY EVAR. It just bothers me since its supposedly nonsense fiction or whatever.

Perhaps you should try "Alice in Wonderland: A Musical Porno" though?_{sorry I just have to bring this up with every Alice in Wonderland secret...}
