You know, I'm in tekken_yaoi, although I'm really really not sure why any more. I was the person head-desking when the first 'zomg Leo the uke, I see him with Steve!' post appeared, the one who asked 'do we know anything about his personality yet?' and recieved the answer 'he's German'.

I was also punching the air in victory when he was in fact revealed to be she. Mwaha~ ;D

Seriously, I almost joined that community once, but I decided against it, since the majority of the people there seem to take the "yaoi for the sake of yaoi" approach and I really never had any interest in Jin, Hwoarang or Steve, anyway.

I actually dun hate CR that much; there are some really cool people there. It's just... that there are a lot of doofs there too. 1. Assuredly, it's not just you! :D I have no interest in romance, so I could care less about plotting potential pairings and looking for subtext and the like. So long as the series is fun and the characters are interesting, I'm happy!

1. Not alone. I generally don't ship much of anyone in fandoms I'm in. It's fun to look at, but I don't participate. :c

3. Like everyone else has been saying, just comment around, ask questions. When your character posts, try to make it open ended so other characters can talk about things. I had this problem a lot when I first started RPing in big games, and it took me a long time to get where I felt comfortable enough interacting. (I still have some issues now, but it's not as bad.) All I can say is good luck.

12. yaoi fandom > slash fandom. As for what's better, it's a matter of taste. But, most yoai fan-girls are simply dumb about it, though happy, (lol naruto fandom) while people who hate it are annoying about it.

I may not necessarily think of FMA the way. However, I feel lonely in a fandom that's all pairings as well when you sometimes just want something without a hint of romance or any pairings in it. Not saying pairings are inferior and so is love and romance but regardless . . .

I feel so damn lonely when I see a lot of people show their list of pairings they love and they hate.

That's probably why my eyes sort of roll back while reading people who ship/bash too much.

The fandom is all sorts of hilarious. Between the "omg yaoi!!11" fangirls, and then the other half that claims that the series is so "deep" and intellectual, I feel completely lost. I read the series because it's like the sappy manga equivalent of a B-movie, dammit.
The best part of the series was Kouya and Yamato anyway, I just hope they show up again.
