But I didn't say to not hate. If they like something in the fandom, what's wrong in them sharing that too?

[identity profile] shahni.livejournal.com 2007-06-03 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but that's a different thing altogether. What part of my answer are you actually talking about? 'cause I was partly in favor of the OP and was addressing things they'd mentioned in the secret with.

*dies* But that was a general thing!! I don't know how else to word it, like, when Axel/Roxas people were all LOL YOU CAN'T HAVE MARLUXIA/ROXAS BECAUSE THEY NEVER MEET, I was still drawing it? And people liked it? Same way, if they don't like Phoenix/Edgeworth, then show what they DO like?

Does that make sense? ._.

And no one's saying that's a bad thing or to change anything (at least I hope I didn't come off like that), but there are always going to be fans like that, so once expressed, is it bad to just offer the alternative, just for the sake of offering it with an opinion?

[identity profile] rozeniris.livejournal.com 2007-06-03 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
*dies* Sorry, didn't mean for it to sound like that at all.

My god! You and the rest of the anal pricks in fandom are so goddamn dramatic. D:!! It's everywhere! They're shoving it my face! Omg how do I scroll!? I can't believe people like something that's popular! How do I get away!? Is there no safe place for me and my utter dislike towards something that is so loved!? Whatever will I do except bitch that things aren't going my way in fandom!

They were given a suggestion of how to make their situation a little more tolerable, and that's somehow wrong because suggestion =/= demand? Way to totally miss the point of a post.

And for the record NaruMitsu IS so highly accepted because there is nothing about it that says that it can't happen. PW is a first person RPG where you are Phoenix and it's based on your decisions in the game of what happens and what does not happen. Thus giving way to multiple interpretations.

If you've got to get so enraged over something that a majority of people agree upon, you can either contribute to prove it wrong, contribute to the part of fandom you like so maybe it'll be more well taken with the rest of fandom and you can find common ground with someone, or how about just GTFO.

Wow, way to jump into something that you don't understand fully and take it completely the wrong way! *dies* This is like walking into the wrong half of a conversation, except you started bitching about it!

Let me try to interpret. Case wasn't even talking about Phoenix Wright or anything, he took issue with Shahni's general verbiage. The way she worded it could be taken as contradictory of itself. At first saying live and let live and then saying you shouldn't/can't hate! But if the live and let live part is to be taken, then that means just letting the people hate who are gonna hate and not bothering to try and get them to stop or whatever. If that makes sense. It does in my mind, but I have a touch of the dumb today. Eh heh.

Yes, it was badly expressed on both sides. No, this wasn't about NaruMitsu at all. Yes, I'm laughing at everyone right now.

*counters with NaruMitsu kissyface icon*

Er, but where exactly did I say to should or not hate? Maybe live or let live was the wrong phrase to use, but as I've kept repeating, that's not what I meant at all. And I think she got my point better, to be honest. Misinterpretation all around! *dies*
