I like it because it's not personal. I have a hard time finding (and keeping) friends on the internet, and having a Live journal account without anybody to comment on your entries is pretty frustrating, but it doesn't matter on tumblr.

Furthermore, my current fandoms don't really have a big lj-presence.

They do have a big tumblr-presence though.

Also, I prefer fanarts to fanfic for fandoms I'm just temporarily in.

This, so so so much. I agree with everything else in the secret, but...honestly, the only reason I actually finished that episode was because I kept on thinking maybe they were playing the...everything...straight in the beginning because they'd subvert it hard in the end. And they weren't.

And that made me very sad. :(

The problem wasn't that the Chinese criminals were criminals in a show about investigating criminals, nor that with three episodes they didn't get around to showing perfectly normal Chinese people (it's like complaining that the gay guy turned out to a bad guy).

When people complain about the second episode, it's more about the other stereotypes that I don't recall since it's been a while. Someone said something about ~spouting proverbial wisdom while demurely pouring tea~, and I think that's pretty close to the actual problem.

What does Grint have to do with whom Hermione chose? This secret went from A to Q pretty damn quickly.

That being said, there are plenty of reasons why she chose Ron; in fact there are essay out there explaining it quite well, so I'm not going to sit here and get into the details of it. Of all the characters we're shown in HP, Ron was the best suited one for what Hermione wanted and needed (someone who challenged her and pushed her), so outside of an unnamed character, Ron was her match.

I mean, she fell for her best friend, which is one of the oldest plotlines in literature.
