I left the fandom because it went to hell and there was so much badfic out there. I was just using your fic as an example with that statement.

These days I only have khyaoi friended but I just skip over your posts now because I can't manage to get more than a chapter in to the stuff you write. That's about it.

But not getting into a fic... why doesn't that make it bad? I've never had anyone give me honest critism about LF. I had one person who did act like kind of a butt and left a very mean post once, but no one who has sat down and told me... what they didn't like.

I just don't entirely understand how people are thinking. I have a lot of people who like it. No one has posted and said WHY THEY DIDN'T and yet... they come to this comm and make very mean fun of me?

I stated originally that LF was a roleplay. It actually was never meant to be a fic. Synergy, which has been lumped in with LF despite the fact it's a different person, is like... the exact opposite of LF. It's very canon, very simple, and a lot of people have left comments about how they like the different style of writing.

I've never forced anyone to read my fics... so if people didn't like it, why didn't they just... not read it and skip over my posts? Instead of being... mean?

I couldn't get into it because it was OOC and, I thought, generally badfic. Then again, I've never gotten the whole point of posting RP as fanfic, anyway. A lot of people in fandom do one-on-one RPs and they don't feel the need to go posting them in public communities.

People are mean because it's the internet, that's why. It's not fair, sure, but that's the way it is. I was perfectly content to ignore it, but when it popped up here, I just took 30 seconds of out my life to type up basically an IAWTC.

I agree, actually. LF is very OOC. I never said it wasn't. I do believe it has an excellant storyline and plot, but the characters are OOC.

I normally only post co-authored writings, which Synergy is, instead of roleplays. LF was just an attempt to try something new.

It pains me that Synergy gets lumped into the 'bad' fic comment though. If people took a little bit of time to read it, they'd see that it isn't OOC. It isn't anything like LF.

Regardless of whether or not it has an excellent plot, you posted it in a Kingdom Hearts community, therefore if I read it, I'm going to expect them to act like Kingdom Hearts characters.

If they don't, it's badfic, in my eyes, plain and simple.

Could you please actually read the first chapter of Synergy and tell me if you think it's the same as LF? I'd very grateful if you could give me an honest response.

I attempted to read the first chapter of your fanfic, but in all honesty it bored me. Sorry. The characters still sound OOC- it still felt more like someone's original fiction than anything KH related- and I noticed several grammatical/structural errors that just seemed careless.

Can you explain how the characters in Synergy are OOC? Just saying they are... doesn't help me how to improve them, sadly.

They just don't act like their canon counterparts at all. I'm sick and not up to thinking about specific examples but... yeah, you really just don't seem to have a very good grasp on their personalities. Maybe try replaying KHII/CoM?

When you are feeling better, I would be very, very honored if you could explain some specific examples? No rush, but I like to know what someone else's thoughts are, since no one seems to be really willing to tell me details.

I'm sorry, but I really don't think I'd be the right person for the job. Your writing style is very flowery and overdone, and I can't get into the fic. At all. One thing I did notice was that all the character talk similarly - I get no sense of individualism or personality out of their dialogue. Xemnas biting Saix also really struck me as being something Xemnas would never do; though, I've also never understood the appeal of making Saix really animalistic.

I really would advise you to find a beta. I know there would be a lot of people who know Kingdom Hearts II canon a lot better than I do (I'm not really in the fandom anymore, like I said) and who have a lot more patience than I do.

What's the point in writing something about characters you enjoy when they don't actually act like the characters? It may have a great plot/storyline, but without proper characterization, it's just original fiction using the names.

I'm not going to entirely disagree with you. When I started LF, it was just for fun. But you wouldn't BELIEVE the outpouring of response. I was shocked. I had never, in all of my canon fics that were as accurate as I could get, I never had a response like that. And writing LF was FUN. So I kept posting. I enjoyed the writing, a lot. It actually did kind of feel like writing original fic in some places.

I've never written a fic with someone like jaded before. Very different.

But honestly, try reading Synergy. DON'T take your preconceived notions from LF and read the first chapter. See if you think the same way. Synergy was not written like LF, or in the same mind frame, or even the same co-author. That, in my opinion, is a very canon-character piece. It isn't the same storyline as the game, obviously, but... check it out? Read the first chapter and see if you think the same thing about that.

Not checking, but I have the feeling you're the OP. Ummm putting a post like that in khyaoi is kinda against the rules I think? It's just about someone's writing... I don't think I could post it there with good feeling in mind.

I've never actually read either, so I wasn't critiquing the fanfiction itself. But plenty of people judge an author by what they've written. I certainly don't check every story by someone if I don't like the first one. If the characters are OOC, it's not really the characters. If you can admit that's true of LF, you shouldn't get upset when people judge how you write based off of that characterization, because it would be assumed that anything else you write would be the same.

Not to be rude, honestly, but most people don't have time to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Hi, just a drive-by commenter here...But if you're looking for in-depth concrit, kh_beta would probably be a great place to start. It's a pretty new community specifically for betaing kh fanfiction, and I know they'd be willing to help you out! :)
