*sighs* Despite knowing this, I still want to believe fandom is better than these shitty double-standards and that there might be some other reason why they love the Doctor but hate some of the female characters. It's sad and rage-inducing that it usually comes down to whether or not someone has a penis.

I actually sorta thought this when I watched part of Series 1 & 2, with things not really coming to a "head" until the last episode of Series 4. (It's sorta like I "underestimated" the romance!)

if you think this is about comms, you're incorrect. breaking a f-lock is more than just "pretending to be sweet" or what the fuck you seem to think it is. it's a sense of trust. from as simple as not having your privacy out and as serious as people's lives on the line.

and you don't mind violations of other people's trust as long as they're not against you and you have an excuse to feel the victim. that's disgusting. you're disgusting.

Which is, of course, absurd. I don't even like to see it used as "this character should have more flaws/fail once in a while." I prefer to see it used as "this is not believable in this universe/this is in no way, shape, or form a person."

So, yes. Drastically overused.

You know, I've not gotten around to starting series six yet, even though this is the first time I've actually been able to see the episodes as they air, and I think you've put your finger on just why I can't muster up the energy to watch them yet. I don't dislike Eleven or his companions, I just... don't know them.

The TVD fandom is one of the worst I've been in and as someone who's been in plenty, that's saying something.

At some point, this fandom has hated every single female character. Bonnie and the recurring characters (Rose, Jules, Isobel) tend to get the most of it but the fandom does like to spread it around and cover all their bases. Caroline & Katherine probably fair the best now but there was no small amount of hate for them back in season 1.

Aw, you called Bonnie 'flawless'. I like you already :)

I know her IRL (jane_cpb) and she's one of the sweetest people around. If she was pushed that far...that's really, really telling.

Fuck it. I've quit the Monster High community. I won't stay in a place that has that kind of mod. Info with that kind of poison is info I am better without.

Okay, so then you also have an issue with the people who played informant.

This isn't life and death. It's just fandom bullshit. People bitched about me and got caught. Their penalty? Getting banned from a comm. SO not that serious. Their lives have gone on. Shouldn't everyone else's?
