7. The problem with hating is that a lot of people aren't content with just hating, they feel the need to do a lot of immature bashing. It's not enough to just say "I don't like Miaka", they devote whole websites to sticking pins in pictures of her.

7. I don't care if you hate a character unless you're very verbal and militant about it, and bash them at every turn. If you're not a screaming idiot then nobody has any reason to dislike you for preferences, and probably won't (unless you're attacked by the militant character-lovers, in which case I feel sorry for you.)

1. I'm actually more surprised these days when my dreams don't have fictional characters in them. I blame the guy in my icon. He stole my brain, dammit, and he won't give it back.

7. Hmmm. It's probably just that a lot of character bashing is so lame. There's a difference between being reasonably critical and writing fics about the extremely painful death and suffering of your most hated character. Plus, there exists an uncomfortable amount of misogyny when that character is almost always female. I don't really respect or find interesting rabid fanaticism, and similarly, rabid character bashing just makes me roll my eyes. What catches my eye is discussion where people acknowledge the gray area that exists in most things.

1) I've done that. Well, not about him, but I've definitely had dreams that I hated to wake up from and tried to get back.
8) Make some of your own? I like other fandoms, but I guess it's a social thing. Being an anime/manga fan or a roleplayer is considered nerdy enough that we become our own subculture, then identify as it, then feel the need to prove our identity (which is where all the annoying entry-level fangirls come from).
12) Does fandom make everyone prejudiced? It sure seems that way here at fs.

1. I had a dream like that once. I never threw out my alarm clock for it... but I really wish I could have finished it.

6. I used to get that feeling. Then... my offline self became my online self (or perhaps the other way around?) and so now I'd really love to meet up with everyone. Honestly, my biggest fear would be that they wouldn't think I was as pretty as the pictures led them to believe, and I don't even really care about that. XD (admittedly, I don't "squee" over things IRL. I am a bit more restrained, but the personality is still intact.)

7. Srsly. No matter how you look at it, there'll be people that think you're weird. So just be weird and have fun doing it! XD

17. Not a boy, don't want to be a boy most of the time, but that's not fandom. I just like pairings for how hot they are the chemistry between characters. They could be two guys, two girls, a girl and a guy, or even two frikken robots. If it's hot makes sense, I'll ship it.
