What's wrong with Kotetsu being Japanese? All the characters have different nationalities - FFS, just call him Tiger if it bothers you that much.

I completely agree with this.

I'm starting to get really annoyed with how many characters respect Barnaby more than Koetsu when Koetsu tries to help everyone and really belieaves that a hero's top priority is saving lives.

I feel bad for Barnaby, I really do, but his attitude grates on my nerves.

Dub vs. Sub is just a preference thing. Some people like dubs more, some like subs more, and some like both.

I don't agree with name chaning though.

Kotetsu is the reason why I started watching Tiger and Bunny. The man is goddamn attractive and adorkable.

I always took the other characters putting down Kotetsu as a sort of habit + operant learning. Think about it; there's a superhero who's kind of older than the rest of them, ranks consistently low, and is always breaking stuff and has become a bit notorious. Without knowing him personally, it's way too easy to dismiss him as a troublemaker and not take him seriously. You can see the characters that do get to know him better treat him a little nicer throughout the show.

Barnaby seems a little too stereotypical *dickish guy with a dark past who doesn't make friends but will later turn tsundere for the protagonist* but eh - it's a stereotype that works, so I'm not complaining here. In fact, the entire show feels like it can be troperrific (whee tvtropes ruining my vocab), but that is not necessarily a bad thing; so far, it's been handling it quite well.

I agree with the dub (minus name change) though. It'd sound quite natural, and honestly I think it would be one of the few works that I can like even with dub.

I'd say no to changing anyone's names (this isn't a kids' show, and we're not in the '90s anymore), but I'm more than certain it'll be dubbed. (And I can almost safely bet that Bang Zoom will end up dubbing it, so at least it would be a fairly decent dub.) It's a show that's almost tailor-made for English-speaking/American audiences, in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind a dub, so long as it wasn't direct to dvd and actually aired on a channel.

I'll be surprised if it doesn't get dubbed-- it really lends itself to dubbing and so far it's got a decent fanbase in the west, right?
As long as it's not Funi's crew who dubs it (which it wouldn't be, since Viz has the license of course) I'm down with it.

But no to the name changes.


And I don't understand why people are so afraid of saying they like/don't like a certain character from this series. Maybe I'm not hanging around where all the cool kids are, but I haven't really seen much wank over this cropping up.

I love that show. I don't know if a dub would be better but it would be cool to have. But, uh, why the name change? I don't get it. Explanation?

I also love Kotetsu best! Barnaby annoys me too, but I think that's kind of his purpose? He's a total douche now so he has a lot of room to develop.

DO WANT A DUB. Mostly because the series itself suits having English voices.

Also, yeah, I kind of like Barnaby the least in the series, but at least he's getting better. I want everyone to be bros forever and for no one to die, but Sunrise tends to kill off likeable characters. And for T&B that's... everyone. D:
