Could someone link me to where comics fans are wanking? I'm a comics fan myself, and I don't have problems with movies changing things around. I also haven't seen anyone on my flist have a big problem with it, but I have a small flist.

However, I DO think it's somewhat amusing that it took a slashy Inception-like movie to actually inspire more interest. X-Men comics are much gayer, and they've been much gayer for years.

Honestly, though, I'm re-reading some Ultimate X-Men* and I'd almost forgotten how amazingly slashy it is. Mind-wiped Magneto hugging a crying Professor X in his chair while a butterfly takes flight in the foreground. How great is that?


*Warning: the first Ultimate X-men stories are really terrible (writing and art).

Some artists manage to make Xavier's baldness really attractive, though, especially in the 80s. The good thing about being bald is that no one can draw you with a mullet.

Haven't most of us been shipping Magneto/Professor X since we first encountered it, though? Maybe on not such an aesthetically-pleasing level, maybe, but still.
