F!S Anon Meme (the Fifth)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

(LJ's still lagging here and there, good luck.)

1. i pretty much just lurk various fandoms but never contribute anything and i feel like being an active participant takes up SO MUCH time and i don't get how people do it. maybe because i've had a writing drought for like, 10 years and am jealous of how easily people can churn stuff out.

2. everyone probably does this, but i have fun imagining a fandom for my life and what the popular ships would be and what the crack!ships would be and songs/scenes that people would use for fanvids

3. i'm so bummed that pansy's volcano was never finished

4. does anyone remember the computer game "rockett's new school"? i kind of wish there was a fandom for it

1. those people who have the time usually don't work full time or have very flexible hours. like teens who are on summer vacation or even just going to school, they've got the whole night and weekends. stay at home moms that have some downtime periods during the day. people who work from home. and people who are unemployed and rely on their other half or family for income. rarely do i see anyone who is a BNF that claims to be going to uni and holding down a job, but still has the time for fandom and a social life.

1. For me, it's more a matter of "How do people write stories in 2,000 words or less?" I don't always write fic, but when I do, I crank out stories that are 10K-25K words in length. (Pardon the meme, but it really does state my quandry well.) Doesn't matter the fandom, the number of characters or major plotline. It's always rather lengthy. Because of that, I may only write one or two stories a year, which means I hardly get comments. I've decided, though, that I'm okay with it on the account that I really do prefer writing longer pieces.

I kind of wish I were you. I can hardly get anything past the 5k meter without seriously running low on inspiration and focus. >>;
