Yes. Exactly. Thank god someone said it. Short people are ridiculous. It is so hilarious when I watch a short arse trying to act like a tough guy. You know what I found the funniest bit of tv so far this year? That documentary "Small Teen, Big World" about a midget trying to act like a grown up, someone need to take her, spank her and tell her she is a 7 year old, and will be for the rest of her life.

I'm soooo looking forward to the documentary about the dwarf cast of a Snow White panto living in a "Big Brother" house. Do they not know they are really all five? Seriously, just accept it short folk, you can be cute, goofy, funny, sometimes even adorable, but if you are under five foot, don't try to be serious.

This secret makes me think of that scene in Jackass 3D where the guy at the bar starts in on this little person and this whole gang of little people come in and beat the shit out of him. Not saying I want you to get beat up. But this is literally what came to mind when I read this secret.

Also, Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the shortest adults on the show. He's awesome, so, yeah!

Oh god I almost pissed myself laughing. Seriously? Well I hope you don't watch much that comes out of Japan. Or American movies for that matter, a huge chunk of actors are not as tall as they appear on the screen. Jesus.

On the infinitesimally small chance that you're being serious: Not only is that "heightism" your sexism is so fucking obvious it's painful. If a hero can't be taken seriously unless they're six-foot-plus, then in your fancy little world women can't be heroes.

I'm tiny and never taken seriously because apparently people think, "lol you could just lift her and throw her around!" ... I love small heroes. I love small villains. To be honest, even though I'm not an FMA fan, I was upset when I found out that the main character gets so fucking tall eventually.

To each their own. But rest assured that I bite and scratch the shit out of everyone who tries to carry me around and no, that's not "unfair."

While I completley disagree with this secret and actively PREFER shorter heroes/villains, I'm really confused by the picture. Ed is short and the main character/hero of FMA, isn't he? Using a picture of Ed and saying short characters can't be heroes and automatically = side kicks makes no sense. I thought at first this secret was being ironic.

Am I missing something?

Also, to add to the list: Seth Green, especially as Oz from Buffy = short and awesome. :D Also, Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter is 5'5". So.

Because the pic was from the original series, and Ed never gets taller in that one. Also it was over-dramatic ("god forbid shorter than 5 foot 8").

@Guy talking about the animoos. It does weird me out whenever heights get posted because they’re so short, but whenever I’m watching series I guess I just ‘raise them up’ to the western average because they’re all short across the board.

@’cism!’. Obviously the limits are lowered for women, like entry for the fire-service or police.

Why Ed? Because he’s an example of a hero who’s clearly intended to be such, but I just can’t take him seriously.

And I know it’s silly, that heightism is a real thing (short men suffer an equal wage gap to being female), but it’s just some primal thing that I can’t let go.
